Phuong loves work life balance.

Graduated in 2006, Phuong worked for some banks and companies, joining some social activities and be jobless for a long period, she, finally, found that she is a kind of person who may be suitable for researching and teaching.

Now she is doing part-time work for Open Consultant and Launch – they are non-profit organizations that supporting tech start-ups and boosting social wealth being of Vietnam. Their mission is to foster entrepreneurship and maximize sharing, collaboration, and innovation in the tech community in Vietnam.

She is willingness to work exceptionally hard. Besides that she also likes to be in control of any job or project that she works on. She knows how to put plans into motion very swiftly and create enthusiasm and excitement for any project while at the same time having fun. She strives for outstanding results, developing and fostering relationship with others both inside and outside the organization.

Studied subjects such as Corporate Finance; International Finance; Financial Risk Management; Financial Investment; Finance of Multinational Company; Public Finance; Tax Policy; Economics; Management; Transactions in Commercial Banking; and Philosophy.

The master’s thesis is about how to deal with price risk and credit provision of coffee industry in Vietnam by using market-based price risk management instruments. While searching, it found that using derivatives and providing credits for participants of coffee value chain are the two aspects of the issue. Vietnam should apply the model of Brazil which used CPR (Cedula Produto Rural), a commodity-backed bond, in order to provide credits as well as combined with the local futures market (the Brazilian Mercantile and Futures Exchange) to inject the liquidation for the system.
