Projects / Case Studies:While attending Liberties College we carried out project as part of a team that would upgrade one of the student computer rooms. The areas we covered in the report were: Hardware, Layout, ergonomics, network connectivity and reliability, Security and also software. We produced and our findings to the college and they allowed us to carry out an upgrade on the room by increasing the Ergonomics of the room layout by moving counter tops to provide better space usage. This allowed more room per pc and also allowed us to fit in printers. We setup the room so that the PC’s could connect to the student’s accounts on the schools intranet.

SKILLS and PERSONAL QUALITIES Leadership - Being a children’s martial arts coach I have to be able to lead and instruct

children in the art and maintain order during the class. Sometimes I will also teach adults when the Head coach is away or cannot make it. When I was a member of the Reserve Defence Force during an exercise my Sergeant instructed me to take command of my unit as the original commander became injured. My tasks included managing my unit, instructing them on what to do, doing an inventory of what each person had on them and then looking for resupplies.

Enthusiasm - While teaching children or adults I have to be enthusiastic to teach them. It make the class fun and make them more willing to listen to me.

Initiative - While working as a PC Repair Specialist I had to use my own initiative to solve problems with pc and prioritise which project was most urgent.

Self-motivated – After being let go from work, I motivated myself to return back to college, this lead me to pass every year and receive my CCNA qualification.

Trouble shooting/diagnostics – Working As a PC Repair Specialist I had to learn how to trouble shoot problems with electronic devices, this was done verbally and physically. When a device was handed in to I asked the customer a series of questions which would give me an understanding of the problem. This would give me an idea where I should start when trying to solve the problem using my own diagnostic skills.

My favourite genre of books is either military or fantasy such as Game of Thrones or lord of the rings, I also enjoy some fiction books like Ross O Carroll Kelly. I also enjoy PC gaming and electronics, I like to try and make improvements in my own system that I have built by myself such as overclocking my GPU to get more frames or to increase the performance and effectiveness of the machine.
