Ph.D. Dissertation El arte de narrar en la era de las blogoficciones is an interdisciplinary approach to electronnarratives, in which I explore the impact that recent developments in technology are having othe literary field. Drawing on the work of theorists and scholars such as Jean Baudrillard, GeorLandow, Katherine Hayles, Janet Murray, Lev Manovich and Jay David Bolter, among others, study how key narratological concepts acquire a new set of characteristics when implemented an electronic environment. My working hypothesis is that in the new media culture that icurrently emerging, the traditional ideas about authorship, textuality, fictionality, sequentiastructure, and readership are being challenged by tendencies toward anonymity, pseudonymitcollaborative authorship, hypertextual narrative structures, and the active involvement of threader in the creative process. In one of the chapters, I apply these theoretical considerations the critical reading of several blog-novels written by Argentinean author Hernn Casciari. Threlevance of this study lies in the acknowledgement that electronic fictions are an emerginliterary genre, which has its own identifiable features, and constitutes a cultural derivation of tinformation society in which we live today.
