Nov 15 to present Project Manager Mobilisation of site to cater for site welfare facilities, stores and site office. Excavation of 220kv trench to accommodate 1.7 km of 5nr HDPE piping on behalf of client ESB Networks. Supervision and management to carry out the following: Traffic mgmt of carriage way to reduce vehicular capacity from 2 lanes to 1. Excavation of trench 1.2 to 2m deep and 1.1 wide to accommodate HDPE piping. Construction of coffer dam and installation of flue pipe to divert river flow to accommodate trench excavation under river bed. Placement of CBGM B to bed piping and backfill of trench, to within 140mm of existing surface and placement of 140mm of 20mm D.B.M road base to top of existing surface. Planeing of existing wearing coarse surface where present to accommodate new wearing coarse. Bond coat existing surface coarse to facilitate placement of DBM wearing coarse to create new surface. Reinstatement of grass verge and concrete & asphalt footpath where excavation has taken place. Cary out as built survey using GPS system of ducting installed on a daily basis and complete survey utilising AutoCad, for scheduling, quality and cost purposes. On a bi-monthly basis update the project schedule using Microsoft Project, thereby highlighting slippages in the timeline and areas where the project is on target.

Work closely with QS using as built survey to ensure all works are captured in monthly valuations and extract information from project schedule and as built to enable the regular updating of income and cost analysis.Quality control of production, ensured works are carried out to NRA and client (ESBN) specification. Ensuring CGBM/B samples are delivered to external lab for compressive strength testing and logging results of same to quality folder in site H&S file (CPP).Safety management, ensure that crews safety documentation (weekly work pack) is up to date, relevant utility drawings, GA1s (yearly), GA2s(weekly), Method statements, Risk assessments, IUS civils JTIs, IUS permit to break ground, daily risk assessments, weekly TBTs, and weekly site audits.Implementation of IUS environmental policy by ensuring all waste leaving site is only removed by a licenced contractor and is only brought to a suitably licenced disposal facility.

Management of various subcontractors in carrying out the associated works, i.e. groundwork’s, in-situ rc works, structural steel frame, glazing, architectural flat panel cladding, architectural steel, stud partitions and as built surveys.

Carried out the following- As built surveys, setting out using total station and auto level, use of Auto CAD, and maintenance of drawing register.Setting out and recording of utilities – gas & water, (HDPE), eircom & ESB ducting, along with chambers for same. Supervision and management of groundworks, formwork and structural steel subcontractors.

Nicholas Groome Plant Hire Ltd. July 08 to Jan 09.Rubber wheeled 360o excavator driver, excavating to line and level for drainage and utilities, as set out by engineer. Wicklow town sewerage & N7/N8 motorway(BAM Civil). Request from foreman, more plant if the need arose e.g. more dump trucks to expedite the bulk excavation process on motorway construction or in some cases reduce the amount of plant and labour if there is not sufficient work available.

Roadbridge Civil Eng Ltd. Jan 06 to July 08.Tracked 360o excavator driver on N11 Gorey bypass, Arthurstown landfill & Ritz Carlton Hotel Powerscourt - digging to line and level as set out by engineer (drainage works), bulk excavation and landscaping to finished levels. Liaising with site engineer/foreman on a daily basis to ensure ground workers had sufficient materials and work laid out for the day ahead.

Vincent Dempsey Plant Hire Ltd. Feb 05 to Dec 06.Tracked 360o excavator driver on M50/N11, South Eastern Motorway. Bulk excavation, grading to finished level, Landscaping works, rock breaking,on hire to Bam Civil contractors, formerly Ascon Ltd. Request from foreman, more plant if the need arose e.g. more dump trucks to expedite the bulk excavation process on motorway construction or in some cases reduce the amount of plant and labour if there is not sufficient work available. Ensure that all relevant safety measures were in place for the activity about to take place, SPAs, method statements and zone isolation (barrier protection).

■ Project Management course. 10 week course obtained through Fas in August 2009.

HOBBIES & INTERESTS

Gaa - I have a keen and active interest in hurling and football, I have played hurling from a young age and I still continue to do so with my local club Arklow Rock Parnell's.

I am currently the assistant treasurer for Arklow community playgroup, (this is a play/preschool). This entails being Involved in the decision making process - budgeting, weekly wages and thereby ensuring that the business remains profitable, viable and available for use to the community it serves.
