Here’s What's Up!
OAKS State Assessment tests The CVMS students are now in the first
round of state test assessments. The
students that have tested already are doing very
well. 1st round will be finished in January. Our 2nd
round will start in February. Good luck to the stu-
dents. You guys and girls are awesome!
Tardies at CVMS We have noticed a rise in unexcused tardies to
first period. Please remember that your stu-
dent needs to have a note from a parent or a phone
call, when they are coming to school late. Sleeping in is
considered an unexcused tardy and will result in a lunch
detention. The following are excusable reasons for
tardiness: illness, illness of immediate family member,
emergency, doctor/dental appointment, death of a
family member, court summons, and satisfactory ar-
rangements, made in advance with the school.
Band Concerts

day concert: 7:00pm in the CV gym.

play for the Senior Luncheon at Newberg Christian
Church and then play for the elementary students
at Crater.

As we near Thanksgiving, I want to introduce all of
you to Wolf Reading. Wolf Reading is a new twenty-
five minute period of Silent Sustained Reading (SSR)
that will be scheduled every Wednesday. We are
very excited about this opportunity that we are pre-
senting to our students. This is a separate twenty-
five minute period from our other reading classes
and the ENTIRE school will be reading during this
time. Teachers, secretaries, custodians, instructional
assistants and administrators will participate in Wolf
Reading. There is a true power with every adult
serving as a role model through this process by mod-
eling our lifelong love of reading.

Wolf Bucks Prizes
Students have been collecting their wolf
bucks this year for positive behavior, some
have saved them to turn in for a big prize.
Two students ( Riley Francis and Thomas
Gaumer) in Mr. Z’s class received 25 wolf
bucks and were treated to a dinner at the
Palmer House with Mr. Z.
Yum!
Our first CV student to collect 50 Wolf bucks is Alex
Dinwiddie. He purchased a CV sweatshirt. Great Job
Alex! Congrats!
Keep up the good
work CV students
and keep collecting
those Wolf Bucks!
