Lean transformation program: pilot wave and consecutive streams 6 consecutive streams between 2010 and 2012 Covering both AXA Bank (2 streams), AXA Insurance (3 streams)

and shared service areas (1 stream) ensuring professional quality of deliverables as well as team coherence

Each stream aiming either the improvement of process efficiency, or enhancing management skills of business leaders, depending on the specific objectives of each stream

Also gained experience in the follow-up phase of streams (continuous improvement), aiming to maintain the results of the waves

Double goal at each stream: a) achieve quick-win results to demonstrate immediate effect of Lean Management transformation program b) enhance and improve capabilities of business teams and business leaders to sustain results on long term

Besides developing managerial skills of business leaders, focus was also put on developing change-agent skills of own Navigator team, to ensure independence from external consultants

Results Cca. 80% of AXA entities involved in Lean transformation program

by end of 2012

embedded into business-as-usual operation of involved departments, even after follow-up phase was closed

JMM transformation program perceived as most adequate tool of cultural change at AXA Hungary, at the same time suitable to deliver immediate results through process efficiency initiatives.

JMM Lean program and involved stakeholders (Navigators, stream leaders, Head of program) were able to operate independently and in a sustainable way, after an intensive cooperation period (6-8 months) with external consultants
