Creative Writing ContestStudent Registration and User Guide

Step 1: Go to www.tstboces.org , the TST-BOCES websiteStep 2: On left sidebar, place curser on School Improvement Services

Step 3: Move curser to Enrichment Services sidebar and click

Step 4: You are now on the new Enrichment Services main webpage

Step 5: Go to the right sidebar and click on the prompt Creative Writing Contest Student Site.

Step 6: You now move to the Creative Writing Contest Student Site. You will fill out all the information needed, then click SUBMIT. This site is part of our CWC web-based site and is available for your use 24/7.

Step 7: Review your information. Click YES if information is correct; click NO to be able to go back and correct your information. NOTE: If you are submitting an entry that is NOT Photo Reflection or Cover Art, you will see Step 9 as your next screen.

Step 8, Part 1: If you are submitting a photo for the new Photo Reflections category or the Cover Art category, click CHOOSE FILE.

Step 8, Part 2: Go to the file you wish to choose, double-click to have a copy of the image chosen to go to our webpage.

Step 8, Part 3: Next to the CHOOSE FILE button, you will see your jpeg file. Click UPLOAD FILE. Note: If you have chosen the wrong image and want to start again, just use the go back arrow.

Step 8, Part 4: You will next see your image uploaded on the screen. If it is correct, click CONTINUE. Use the backspace to re-do image upload.

Step 9, Part 1: You are now on BODY OF WORK screen. This screen has all your student information, entry information and where the red arrow points, your Title of Work.

Step 9, Part 2: Where the red arrow is pointing, you can type in OR copy and paste your written BODY OF WORK. A written BODY OF WORK is needed for Photo Reflection and all other categories except Cover Art. If you are submitting a Cover Art, you must type in the words “cover art submission” in the BODY OF WORK area.

Step 9, Part 3: Click SUBMIT below the white BODY OF WORK space when you have reviewed your work for correct spelling and grammar.

Step 10: When you see this page, your Creative Writing Contest entry has been submitted correctly to us. Congratulations!

Step 11: Back on the TST-BOCES Enrichment Website page, click on HERE to take you to our new Creative Writing Contest WIKI site.

Step 12: Our new Creative Writing Contest WIKI site is available for your use 24/7! It connects to the Creative Writing Contest Student Site by going to our GLOGSTER poster and clicking on the “SIGN YOURSELF UP!”. Have fun exploring this site.

Step 13: Our new Creative Writing Contest WIKI Resource Page has our poster, bookmarks, contest rules and timeline to view or print. We are adding items all the time so check back often.
