The EuroCellTM is a complete, ready-to-run electrochemical cell for corrosion measurements. The sample,usually a cylinder, is secured to a threaded steel rod. The EuroCell will accept any sample that can be drilledand tapped with a 3-48 thread. Its a!ailable in both "#$ an un%ac&eted model and "'$ a %ac&eted !ersion to
control the temperature of the electrochemical e(periment.
The EuroCell was desi)ned for e(periments with electrolyte !olumes from *+-'++ ml. Traditionally, corrosione(periments are performed in a one-liter flas& such as the Multiort Corrosion Cell it, usin) electrolyte!olumes of *+-/++ ml. The practice of usin) lar)e !olumes has e!ol!ed from standardi0ed procedures suchas 12TM * for otentiodynamic 1nodic olari0ation Measurements. The only technical reason to employ hi)helectrolyte !olumes is to minimi0e contamination by the corrosion products.
