** AN ORGANIC BREAKTHROUGH IN WASTE WATER TREATMENT

TECHNOLOGY**

1.0 CWP-121™ The CWP-121™ produced by DOVE BIOTECH is the only organic solution, for effective decontamination of waste water. CWP-121™ with a simple application works on contact and instantly removes the solid particles, including metals in the waste water, by converting them into organic soluble fractions which are Non-Toxic to any aquatic life form and the environment. Conventional water decontamination systems currently used in the industry have tended to be highly specialized processes, costly to build and maintain and with high operating costs. In addition, these conventional waste treatment systems are rarely linked to waste re-use such as irrigation, fertilization or aquaculture. The CWP-121™ is the most economic solution available, for the decontamination of waste water, as compared to the existing conventional methods. CWP-121™ does not require complex and costly installations and the capital investment is only a fraction of the costs of any treatment plant in the industry.

2.0 WASTE WATER Water is increasingly becoming a critical resource as growing populations demand more and various factors reduce its quantity and spoil its quality. Of the global 4,530 km³ of water extracted annually from rivers and aquifers, an estimated 65 percent is destined for agriculture, 25 percent for industrial use and 8 percent for human consumption. A fraction of the water used in urban and industrial settings is returned to rivers in a poor condition due to contamination. The waste-water treatment is considered as water use because it is so interconnected with the other uses of water. Much of the water used by homes, industries, and businesses must be treated before it is released back into the environment.

Nature has an amazing ability to cope with small amounts of waste-water and pollution, but it would be overwhelmed if we didn't treat the billions of gallons of waste-water produced every day before releasing it back to the environment. Treatment plants reduce pollutants in waste-water to a level nature can handle.

Waste Water includes organic substances, that when transferred to an agricultural use, causes problems with the organic solids blocking pumps and irrigation systems. Water filtration, apart from the removal of solids and colloids, increasingly demands the efficient removal contaminants including heavy metals and other toxic substances, bacteria and other parasites. Conventional filter systems do not remove all contaminants.

3.0 PRODUCT ADVANTAGES

A) CWP-121™ organic treatment will now enable the user to dispose of solids and heavy metals. As a result, the waste water can now be rehabilitated through further filtration with a simple application of CWP-121™ Organic waste water treatment. This prevents the ongoing daily water expenditure through recovery in a financially feasible and environmentally sound and responsible manner.

B) CWP- 121™ have a particularly high selectivity for ammonium (NH4

+) and can reduce the ammonium content in waste-water by up to 97%. Ammonium (NH4

+) has serious environmental consequences because of its toxicity to aquatic life, contribution to algal eutrophication, reduction in dissolved oxygen and detrimental effects on disinfection of water.

C) CWP- 121™ is the only product which can accept modifications such as

change from (-) to (+) with the flexibility to absorb anions as well as cations and also some non-polar organics such as benzene, toluene and xylene.

D) CWP- 121™ can be charged with “antibiotic” cations of one of Ag, Cu,

and Zn to provide antimicrobial properties.

E) CWP- 121™ has excellent ion exchangers for the removal and recovery of heavy metal cations (Pb, Cu, Cd, Zn, Co, Cr, Mn and Fe; Pb, Cu as high as 97%) from drinking and waste-waters, which in turn provide a clean water medium for further purification treatment and refinement.

F) CWP-121™ is made up of highly porous structures, which captures

particulate contamination down to 4 microns in size. CWP- 121™ has a natural negative charge which gives it the capacity to adsorb cations, such as heavy metals and ammonium. It also absorbs some organic contaminants and undesirable odors.

G) CWP- 121™ particles also act as seeds to boost bacterial flocs by

attracting and increasing bacterial action per unit volume.

4.0 SUGGESTED APPLICATIONS Commonly, waste water is discharged into aerobic ponds, where it is largely left to its own device, because the high level of suspended solids has made any form of recovery of the water through filtration uneconomical. DOVE BIOTECH’S CWP- 121™ is the best natural filter medium available for the decontamination and filtration of water. It offers superior performance to existing chemical regents, flocculants, sand and carbon filters, giving purer water and higher throughput rates with less maintenance required.

4.1 WATER FOR AGRICULTURAL PURPOSES

In cases where the organic load of the water is too high for the water to be passed directly into an agricultural irrigation system, CWP-121™ can be dosed through a continuous system and then passed onto the holding pond prior to passing through the agricultural irrigation system.

4.2 FURTHER PURIFICATION FOR POTABLE WATER

The major aim of waste-water treatment is to remove as much of the suspended solids as possible before the remaining water (effluent) is discharged back to the environment. As solid material decays it uses up oxygen which is needed by the plants and animals living in the water. The CWP-121™ "Primary treatment" removes about 98% percent of suspended solids from waste-water. This treatment also involves aerating (stirring up) the waste-water to increase the treatment process. Secondary filtration treatment removes the remaining suspended solids.

By utilizing the CWP-121™ water treatment process, the waste-water can be prepared for further water purification process by utilizing the DOVE BIOTECH after treatment filtration beds and Bio-filter, as well as ANTINFEK™ 10H for disinfection of water and destruction of bacteria.

The benefits of DOVE BIOTECH CWP- 121™ filtration beds are: • Higher throughput rate up to 0.75m3/hr/m2 versus 0.15m3/hr/m2, while still maintaining

water quality (measured in turbidity). • Longer runs, up to 50%, even at higher loadings. • Up to 3 to 5 times more water processed between maintenance. • Reduced costs for water filtration versus standard practices.
