This manual describes the configuration sample file of PASOLINK NEO TE CX2200 (referred to as CX2200 henceforth) Ver2.3 for Pasolink Network Management System (Java version) (referred as PNMSj henceforth). Refer to the CX2200 manual for the operation method of the CX2200 main body. This file is a sample file for monitoring CX2200 Ver2.3 using the MIB Loading function of PNMSj. Refer to the PNMSj manual for each function of PNMSj and the method of using the file. This file is available through the PNMSj license. For the procedure for obtaining the license, contact the distributor of the product or the nearest NEC sales office. This is only a sample file and does not guarantee the operation in the customer's environment. Change the configuration file according to the customer's environment when using it for operation.

2. Sample File Specification
This sample file is intended for CX2200 Ver2.3/PNMSJ Rev1.19. This sample file monitors the CX2200 status by classifying it into the following six categories.
Category Type Description
System Status Status Displays the device status.
System Fault Alarm Displays the device fault status. Layer2 Protocol Status Displays the Layer2 Protocol processing
status.
Reference Clock Status Displays the Reference Clock status. Port Status Status Displays the T1/E1 line status.
Port Link Status Status Displays the user line link status.

* Valid only when the L2 Protocol function is operated. * As Ring Port Status/Ring Node State/Ring Request is notified only through one Trap, only
the Ring Port Status is immediately reflected by PNMSj. * The initial value of Ring Loop Detection is None and Trap notification is not performed.
Therefore, the status is not immediately reflected in PNMSj at Ring setting.

4. Known Limitations
NO Restriction Assumed problem Work-around
1 Multiple items cannot be updated concurrently with one Trap.
Even if Trap detection is performed for a Layer2 Protocol monitoring item, the item status may not be updated.
Perform Get all/Connection Check/Slow polling. Alternatively, the item status is updated automatically at the polling cycle.
2 Multiple severities cannot be set for one item.
See the left column.
None In the sample file, the highest possible severity for the item is set.
