her own family.
Her parents dug deeper only to find out that someone in her school had posted some degrading messages about her being plump, on a mobile chat room. The person who had posted
the same couldn’t be traced as it was an anonymous application.
Children are flocking to the Internet in huge numbers in

3. SET A DIGITAL LIMIT. The parents can only look at their phones or talk to them occasionally about using it judiciously. What applications
they have installed on their phones is something they can’t be looking at all the time. Anonymous applications are
mostly free and easy to download.

4. ADVISE YOUR CHILD ON THE IMPORTANCE OF PRIVACY.
A lot many of young people, boys and girls alike, in a bid to outsmart other kids or to prove themselves to be smarter
than others may indulge in cyberbullying. The reasons could be many. Their recourse is the anonymous apps that are
gaining popularity among the younger lot, something the parents may not be even aware of.
4. ADVISE YOUR CHILD ON THE IMPORTANCE OF PRIVACY.
Parents ought to share with their kids what they can and cannot see online, what cyberbullying is, why should it not
be indulged in. Encouraging them to ask questions and answering them to their satisfaction is a great way to bond
with the kids.
4. ADVISE YOUR CHILD ON THE IMPORTANCE OF PRIVACY.
They must be instructed to identify when they are being bullied online, told not to indulge in cyberbullying
themselves and at the same time not respond to a bully and thereby discourage the latter.
Encouraging them to adopt a healthy lifestyle with healthy habits and pursuits they can creatively divert their child’s
attention to positive things in life leaving no leeway for the negative forces to creep in.
