Lopez Village

Speed Limit (MPH)

Lopez Island is roughly 30 square miles with a population of 2,350. It is relatively flat compared to other islands in San Juan County, making it a popular destination for cyclists. The highly anticipated Tour de Lopez event occurs in April of every year (visit http://www.lopezisland.com for more details). Center and Mud Bay Roads run along the North-South spine of the island, with relatively high traffic and minimal shoulder space. During spring and summer the commercial hub of Lopez Village is typically bustling with activity. Wintertime is quieter, with reduced business hours. There are no public off-leash areas on the island.
