Co-ops actually want to pay for you to go have fun. How co-op-ish is that?!

You get sponsored by a co-op, and they pay for your CYL week. This is what co-ops do — we co-operate.

Our sponsors know you’ll have an awesome time. They know you’ll make loads of new friends. And they know you’ll learn new leadership skills while doing it.

That’s why it’s good for your resume. Being selected and attending CYL — that tells a future employer something positive. And it helps when applying for scholarships after high school.

Our sponsors know it’s good for you, good for your co-op, and good for the future of co-ops.

But forget about good. GO. HAVE. GREAT!

How do I find a sponsor?

Just submit your application and we’ll match you with the appropriate sponsor.

What do I do if I get a sponsor?

You mean other than a high five or a fist pump? First, your sponsor will contact you. Then you apply to CYL with your sponsor info. Once you have a sponsor, you become an intern. That means you and your sponsor will discuss and agree on activities that build on your leadership skills and share your experience. (These are also good for your resume. J) Examples of activities are:

• Create a promo video or poster• Make a presentation at your co-op, or a co-op event in your region• Make a presentation at your school• Volunteer at your co-op• Write a blog• Come up with your own ideas
