ThismanualisintendedtoinstructtheuseronhowtoremovetheSmartKeycylinderfromknobs,levers,deadboltsandhandlesets. Thedesiretodothiswillmostlikelybedrivenbytheneedtoreseta“blown”cylinder. AblowncylinderoccurswhentheSmartKeyrekeyingprocesshasnotbeenexecutedproperly,orafaultykeywasused.

TheinstrucAonsshowhowtoremovethecylinder,followedbyhowtoreplacethecylinderoncetheresetcradlehasbeenusedtoremedytheblowncylinder.UseoftheresetcradleisshownattheendofthisdocumentforconveniencealongwithinstrucAonsonhowtorekeySmartKeycylinders.

A cylinder removal tool (see below) that is available through Weiser sales associates ispreferredtoremovethecylinders.Apairofgripsandahexwrench(suppliedwithproduct)isallelsethatisrequired.
