This filing includes three (3)signed original copics of the Amendment, and seventy (70) copies ofRevision No. 2 to the Oconee Final Safety Aaalysis Raport, which wasfiled as Amendment No. 7 on June 2,1969.

Duke Power Company, Applicant in the above-captioned proceeding,
hereby files Amendment No. 9 to its Application for Licenses,
This Amendment No. 9 includes the following document appendedj
hereto and made a part hereof:
Revision No. 2 to the Final Safety Analysis Report,
which includes a complete revisica of Appendix 1 B, and
includes substitution and supplementary pages as indi-
cated to cover various changes and corrections in the
Final Safety Analysis Report.

treated as confidential in nature because Babcock & Wilcox has indepen-
dently conducted research and development to obtain data recorded in them.
Duke is also informed that these data are not available in the open literature
and their disclosure would provide knowledgeable individuals with informa-
tion which would impair B&W's competitive position. In the letter dated
February 9,1970 from Mr. A. C. Thies to Dr. Peter A. Morris, transmitting
this Amendment No. 9, Duke Power Company has requested that the pro-
prietary classification of these Topical Reports be preserved and the reports
be withheld from public disclosure.
