Netopil is located in Central Moravia.

Production is certified as „organic

production“

„Povidla“- main product of Netopil´s

manufacture - is sweet preserve from

prunes prepared in traditional unique

way of long hours boiling of ripen fruits

without any added sugar or preserving

agent, which reduces fruit mass to ca

1/6 – 1/8 and gives the final product

proper consistence and durability.

Page 11: Czech cases of excellence

The specific content of the initiative

Artisan manufacturing of local fruits, mostly

prunes, plums and pears for sweet preserves

was fast forgotten in proces of with

industrialisation of food production in 50´s

and 60´s.

Industrially producted fruit preserves full of

sugar and preserving, flavoring and coloring

agents replaced the high value traditional

product prepared for hundreds of years fast in

every village house.

That´s why Netopil´s manufacture helps to

preserve and restore this part of food heritage

of our ancestors.
