RECENT I&C PROJECTS RECAP - DUKOVANY
� Plant I&C modernization:
� Safety and safety-related systems replaced in 2002-2009 (SPINLINE platform)
� Plant control systems replacement (turbine, primary and secondary systems monitoring and
control) started in 2009 and should be finished in 2016 (ZAT Plant-Suite platform)
� I&C of the plant support systems (e.g. water treatment etc.) to be replaced in 2015-2017
� Power uprate in 2005-2012 (500 MW per unit)
� Post-Fukushima improvements (PAMS upgrade, backup power supply, new ventilator
cooling towers as an ultimate heat sink, alternative means for monitoring of parameters
and communication, seismic monitoring system)
� SCORPIO upgrade (computer based system for on-line surveillance of reactor core)
� Long-term operation:
� PSR 30 (Periodic safety review after 30 years of operation)
� IAEA SALTO mission (The Safety Aspects of Long Term Operation) in 11/2014

log-term storage based on MS Windows and Wonderware application SW; 27 data
sources including unit information systems; 150k parameters; 70 servers and 50 user
PCs) in 2015-2016:

� New high-availability server cluster (5 nodes) for
servers and user clients virtualization
� New data storages (main and backup)
� User PCs replaced by thin clients (terminals)
� Software upgrade (Wonderware Historians

� All reactor trip settings related to the higher power were reviewed and updated
PRPS – approx. 2500 setpoints were updated in line with the SA update DNB 3D curves used in 2
LoPs (OTDT & P2F), 3 divisions, 2 units
DPS – neutron flux & Pzr pressure RT setpoints updated.
� RCLS – Limitation Settings & Reactor Control updated.
� PCS – changes of the signal ranges (different FW & steam parameters) or alarm levels.
� NAP calculations have been evaluated and changes implemented.
� MMI – standup panels and UIS displays updated.
� Other minor systems (like ASRU) have been also updated.
