Welcome to Córdoba. My name is Rafa. I am 15 years old.My class is in the 4th and last year of compulsory secondary education. These are my classmates.
Our class is fully involved in the ERASMUS+ project called Smart Wellness.
At least three of our teachers are working in the project.
We are going to work in Physics and Chemistry, Spanish, Biology, Maths and English.
We are mainly going to work about healthy recipes, scientific women and an App about healthy restaurants in Córdoba.
We are really excited to take part in this project because some of us are going to travel to the Czech Republic next February.
We believe that your country is very beautiful and exciting. All of us are working really hard to be one of the chosen students for the mobilities. But only 11 of the 4th year students will be able to travel. I think I will be one of them.
One of the main objectives of this project is to consider people’s special dietary needs.
I am Sergio and I am a coeliac/’si:liak/ and a diabetic.
When we are at home we have to buy special gluten free products and be very careful with crossed contamination.
When we eat out or travel, we have many problems with restaurants. Some of them not even know what “gluten” means.
The App we are creating will allow locals and visitors to know which restaurants offer food that suits all needs. It will be great for coeliacs like Sergio, diabetics, vegetarians, vegans, Muslims, Jews, etc.
The first activity that we are going todo will be the theoretical content in which our teacher will show us howto have a healthy diet iincluding the
necessary nutrients.
A professional onnutrition is goingto come to ourschool to tell usall we need tohave a goodnutrition. Thisexpert is going tobe here sometimein November.
We are going tocreate a gameabout nutrition. The Czechstudents will beable to playwith us whenthey come herein May.
We all wish you the best stay among us thesethree days.
We hope you like our city and its rich heritage. We are sure you will enjoy our Mediterranean diet
and see how many restaurants are consideringspecial diets and therefore fostering people’sWellness.
We really hope this meeting is useful for ourpartnership and helps design and plan all thedetails.
Looking forward to meeting you in February in Pacov.
