DRAFTING AN ADEQUATE LICENSUREDISCLOSURE STATEMENT
Mandatory Requirements:Licensure DisclosureA disclosure must contain sufficient information allowinga student to reasonably ascertain whether a program willor will not lead to licensure or certification in each state, orwhether such result cannot be determined. The disclosure must be in writing, easily accessible anddisseminated to applicants prior to their enrollment,enabling potential students to make informed decisionsbefore beginning a program.
For the purposes of the StateAuthorization Reciprocity Agreement(SARA), a disclosure must explicitlystate one of the following:
"The course or program meets
the educational requirements
for Professional Licensure."
"The course or program does
NOT meet the educational
requirements for Professional
Licensure."
"It cannot be determined whether
the course or program meets the
