STEP BY STEP CONFIGURATION OF D-LINK DRO – 250i ROUTER

1. IMPLEMENTING THE D-LINK ROUTER:

Connect the D-Link Router’s LAN Port to the PC using Cross Cable

Set the PC’s TCP/IP in DHCP Mode (i.e. Obtain an IP address automatically)

Disable the Proxy Server IP in IE Browser

The Default LAN IP of D-Link Router is 192.168.100.254

Browse the following address https://192.168.100.254

It will ask for Username and Password

Default Username and password is admin.

2. CONFIGURATION OF LAN IP:

Click on Interface > LAN, change the IP address , Mask to the Particular Range and then give Apply --- OK

After

Changing the LAN IP in the Router, your Browser page will be disconnected.

Change the IP address of your PC to the LAN block Range

Browse the following address

https://<LAN IP>

3. CONFIGURATION OF WAN IP

Click on Interfaces > WAN1, change the IP, Mask and Gateway that is provided by the MPLS NOC, the Protocol should be Cisco HDLC, after that give Apply --- OK

4. ROUTING:

Click Routing, select the Routing Protocol to be Static, the Interface Name to be LAN, the Destination and Subnet should be 0.0.0.0, the Gateway should be Disable and then give Apply --- OK

5. DISABLING THE DHCP SERVER IN ROUTER:

Click on Advanced > DHCP> DHCP Server, mark DHCP Server Status to be Disable and then give apply --- OK --- OK --- OK

6. SAVING ALL CONFIGURATIONS TO FLASH:

Click on Tools > System and then give Save --- OK --- Continue

Save Settings and Restart Device............

Restore to Factory Default Settings..........

Restart the Device....................................

The entire Configuration done in the Router will be saved to flash.

Disconnect the Cross Cable from PC & Router’s LAN Port
