Goals I am in the pursuit of projects that will give me the opportunity to share my creative passion and design experience. In return, I hope to continue to learn from these experiences and colleagues. Finally, I hope to contribute works of design that can inspire peoples’ lives.

Taught design courses in various disciplines of design. Taught corporate identity, package, environmental print and publication design, exhibition, experience and architectural environmental design.

Managed projects with a variety of client accounts involving brand identity, environmental graphics, wayfinding, exhibit and theme design for a variety of settings, including new construction condominium and mixed use developments, city and urban design, hospital and university campuses, recreation and restaurant design. Responsibilities included: Client meetings and presentations, planning, site inspection and research, design development and implementation of concepts,

design intent, and fabrication/working drawings.

This class focused on information in systems and how human users interact with both the physical and digital facets. The primary class project was to identify, document and intervene in an existing system. I created a new static wayfinding sign system for the iSchool’s building. The project was very successful and the iSchool is currently moving forward to make it a permanent sign system in the building and on its website.

The primary project was to design and develop a new bus schedule application for smartphones and other devices. Our design team worked with students from The School of Information Studies (iSchool), who produced the coding and development. The University is currently implementing the app for a public release.

I am collaborating with a client to develop branding, packaging and product design for a start up com-pany. The products are collections of guitar picks with specific graphic themes. . Additional educational information is included on the specific themes on the back of the packaging. The project is ongoing and is currently in the budget and prototyping phase.

Completed DES 500: Furniture Design and Fabrication, School of Visual and Performing Arts.

This class focused on basic furniture building techniques. The Syracuse University Drama Department agreed to fund the design and fabrication of new furniture for the Storch Theatre’s lobby by our student team. We crafted a multi piece system that can be assembled in a variety of arrangements and is stack-able for easy storage.

The professional organization Society for Environmental, Graphic Design(SEGD) highlights projects and-new technologies through its international publication, segdDesign. In its November 30, 2010 issue, the article ”All Hands on Tech” featured the Oasis of the Seas project and the intricacies and labor that our team performed in order to make this ship technologically interactive and user friendly for its guests through our wayfinding systems.

Information design project at Manhattan UFT Headquarters.

I teamed up with Levin/Silbert to develop concepts and design-intent drawings for UFT Wall of Honor located on the ground level of it’s headquarters in Manhattan. Additional scope included is a museum-style tribute and historical commemoration project on Albert Shanker, who was one of the key founders and organizers of (UFT).

In May 2010 I was invited as a guest lecturer and instructor at the Miami Ad School in Miami Beach, Florida. As an “Industry Hero” lecturer, I had the opportunity to present my current work to the entire student body. As guest instructor, I led a group of art directors and copywriters who I worked with for one week on an advertising project.

Worked with the Office of Marketing and Communications to develop temporary signs using the existing branding. The goal was to help alumni and guests to find their way on campus and to the Homecoming events. New logo design project.

I designed a new logo for the city of Parma Ohio. The city was looking to update its current logo that had been in place since the 1960s. My design direction was based on the city’s assets which include affordable housing, small business, industry, a wide religious base and great greenspace.

In December 2009, Royal Caribbean International (RCI) launched Oasis of the Seas on her maiden voyage. She is the world’s largest cruise ship and is unique not only in her size, but also her function.Project with TGA Design.

Our teams’ scope was to collaborate with project architects and executive management to design signage and graphics ship-wide that included all wayfinding signs, public spaces, restaurants, entertainment venues and lounges. We also to prepared production manuals and schedules for all these areas that included the crew area and ADA signs.

My role as lead manager, was to work on all areas of the project, during all phases and daily communications with client representatives. I was also a member of the design team that developed and executed wayfinding and venue sign systems and graphics. I managed the assembly of the sign package and production of the working drawings.

Renovation of existing ship added to Celebrity Cruises new cruise line. Project with TGA Design.

Our teams’ scope was to work with the client to bring Journey up to date with fleet standards and to replace out signage as required by new venues including wayfinding signs and directories, food and bev-erage, retail and passenger cabins signs.

The project’s scope was to design a new sign system that would include new main pylon identification for the renovated office complex and for campus vehicular regulatory and wayfinding.

The project’s scope was to prepare a master plan and tenant criteria package for a multi use develop-ment project that included retail, office space and condominiums, also to prepare conceptual design and planning for vehicular regulatory and wayfinding signs throughout a six block district.

My role was as project manager and primary designer. I oversaw the general project, prepared criteria package drawings, implemented design drawings and planning documents for graphics portion of master plan.

The project’s scope was to design a new sign system for the Four Star Resort and Spa in collaboration with its renovation and upgrades. (The resort was being completely renovated from two to four star status). The scope included exterior vehicular and pedestrian wayfinding and property identification, resident building signs and identification, conference center and restaurant identification and a separate identity and sign system for the Spa.

The project’s scope was to design new entry sign features and banner poles for the museum’s property.Additional scope included designing banners for upcoming exhibits.

The project’s scope was to design a complete sign system for interior and exterior of the new building, Bayside Pavilion, on the hospital campus. This new design system was further implemented to the exte-rior wayfinding and vehicular directional and regulatory sign systems on the entire hospital campus.
