Dutton Ranch is composed of 1,100 acres of premium Sonoma County vineyards planted on coveted Goldridge sandy loam soil. Fruit for this vintage was sourced �om several locations within Dutton Ranch’s Russian
ripe tropical elements, while those �om cooler areas lent minerality andRiver Valley vineyards. Plots in the warmer end of the valley contributed
a structural backbone.

Grapes were hand-sorted and whole clusters were gently pressed into French oak barrels. The wine was barrel-fermented with native yeasts and was aged sur lie in barrel for 11 months with weekly battonage.
The 2016 vintage was characterized by early budbreak and flowering,followed by a cooler than normal ripening season. This allowed grapesto ripen slowly and develop intense, complex flavors

Notes of pear, lemon curd, and floral wet stone on the nose. Crisp, mineral-driven palate with flavors of melon, Honeycrisp apple, pear,hibiscus, and honeysuckle with a low oak impact and an elegant finish.
