A Word from Our
Lt. Governor
DRAGONS ARE IN THE HOUSE!
Get ready to be pumped up for Seattle Rally! I am so excited and honored to have all of you come to Seattle Rally. So far this summer, it has been amazing. In a few days, we will get to show the rest of the PNW District, how awesome we are! After that, we have a lot of events in the upcoming month!
School is going to start soon, so please remember to keep on recruiting members! 2012-2013 is going to be an amazing year. Remember, the more members you have, the more opportunities and help you have to serve others.
Summer isn’t ending yet, so please keep on serving others! There are so many opportunities for you to help, so why not? Have a great rest of summer! I’ll see you in the fall :)
In Love and Service, Nguyen Huynh, Lt. G Division 32 Lt. G Pacific Northwest District [email protected]

CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK!
ABOUT THIS PROJECT:
The Kiwanis Children’s Cancer Program, KCCP, in support of Kiwanis Doernbecher Children’s Cancer Program in Portland OR., KCCP in Seattle WA. And the KCCP British Columbia and the Yukon, will raise money and awareness to fight and find the cure for children’s cancer.
The KCCP is a long term project that we hope to expand to a global program. Children’s cancer affects many families. KCCP hopes to be a part of finding a cure. Not only will this benefit children it will benefit all cancer patients worldwide.
KIWANIS CHILDREN’S CANCER PROGRAM!
ABOUT THIS PROJECT:
Children’s Miracle Network raises funds for children’s hospitals across North America. When a donation is given it stays in the community, ensuring that every dollar is helping local kids. These donations have gone to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all in support of our mission to save and improve live of as many children as possible.

The ELIMINATE PROJECT
$2 = Protection for mother +
future babies
What is MNT? In 38 countries around the world maternal
and neonatal tetanus (MNT) can quickly
turn the joy of childbirth into a tragedy.
MNT kills one baby every nine minutes. Its
effects are excruciating – tiny newborns
suffer repeated, painful convulsions and
extreme sensitivity to light and touch. There
is little hope of survival and tetanus also kills
the mother.
Why focus on this issue?
It is unacceptable that newborns and their
mothers suffer from such an easily
preventable disease. It is also a great
opportunity for us to reach out to the
poorest mothers and newborns and be
able to provide lifesaving healthcare.
Developing a delivery system for these
vaccines will greatly help families in third-
world countries.
How does Key Club help?
With The Eliminate Project, Kiwanis
International and UNICEF have joined
forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal
tetanus. It will take $110 million to fund all
the vaccines, syringes, safe storage,
transportation, thousands of skilled staff &
more—and the dedicated work of UNICEF
and every member of the Kiwanis family.
