Easy-LaserTM
The guiding-star for all development is simpli-
city for the user. You are lead step-by-step on
the display through the whole measurement
procedure. All of the parts included in the
systems are developed for even the harshest
environments and designed for easy setup on
machinery.
For maximum usability there are a great
number of measurement programs included in
your Easy-LaserTM system. Moreover the
systems are upgradeable and expandable, as
many accessories are available to help you
solve even difficult alignment tasks.
In fact there is only one limitation; your own
imagination!

More than 20 years of field experience and product development have gone
into the Easy-LaserTM measurement and alignment systems.
Our systems are used in powerplants, shipyards, engineering workshops,
paper industry, steelworks etc in more than 40 countries all over the world.
Measurement and Alignment Systems

All programs are standard
EasyTurnTM - For alignment of horizontal machines. Requires only 20 between the measuring positions. Available on the D 510 system.
Horizontal - For alignment of horizontal machines with the 9-12-3 method.
Softfoot - With this program you check that the machine is standing on all
feet.
Vertical - For measurement of vertical and flange mounted machines.
Offset and Angle - This program displays the offset and the angular
misalignment between e.g. two shafts. Shows values from both 1-axis and 2-
axis measurement units. Suitable for dynamic measurements.
Values - Shows values from both 1-axis and 2-axis measurement units. Up to
10 units can be connected in serie and can be zeroed individually. Suitable
for dynamic measurements, flatness measurement etc.
Center of circle - This program is used when measuring the straightness of
bearing journals. Allows varying diameters. *
Straightness - For measurement of straightness on machine foundations,
shafts, bearing journals etc.
PlumbLine - With this program you measure plumbline such as turbine- and
generator shafts. *
Squareness - For measurement of squareness in machinery and plants. *
Cardan - Shows the angular misalignment and the adjustment value for offset
mounted machines. *
Parallelism - For measuring between rolls, machine sides etc. *
Flange - For measurement of flatness on flanges and circular planes, for
example axial bearings. *
Spindle - For measurement of centerline direction of machine spindles on
tooling machines, drilling machines etc.
Flatness - Program for measurement of flatness/twist, for example on
machine foundations, machine tables etc. *
* These programs/measurements require optional accessories.
Not only shaft alignmentEasy-LaserTM is not only a shaft
alignment system. With 15 standard
measurement programs, you can
measure virtually anything.
Some of the measurements, for
example flatness, parallelity etc
require optional equipment.

Even if the technique inside the shell is rather advanced,
the principle of measurement is easy. It is based on the
reverse indicator method.

EasyTurnTM shaft alignmentWith the EasyTurnTM-program
and system D 510 it is
possible to do a
measurement even when
you cant turn shafts to
positions 9-12-3. With this
program its possible to
measure with only 20rotation between measurement
points. Integrated in both units are electronic
inclinometers which detect the angular position of
the units. This makes it possible to start the
measurement anywhere over 360o rotation.

The measurement resultsOffset, angular misalignment and shim- and adjustment
values are shown on the display. Both horizontal and
vertical values are shown at the same time. This makes it
easy to move the machine into the right position. Now you
can save, print or send the measurement result to a PC.

Transfer data to a PCVia the serial port (RS 232) you can transfer the
measurement data to a PC. With our PC-program Easy-
LaserTM Link you get many possibilities for data proces-
sing and graphic presentations of the measured result.
Automatically files are generated for MS Excel.
Save the measurement resultUp to 125 shaft alignments can be stored
in the memory of the display unit. You
assign a specific name, then the system
adds date and time automatically.
Therefore it is very easy to identify the
measurement at a later time.
Print the resultYou can print all the measurement
information, or only a screen dump,
depending on what you want to
document. A printout will compare the
machine position before and after the
alignment, or compare the position of a
cold machine with a hot, without saving
the values.
Settings menuJust press once at the Menu button and all
common settings are available. From here you
can choose measuring unit (mil/thou/mm) and
resolution in three steps (0.1, 0.01, 0.001 mm.

operations such as print, store, data transfer and
measurement value filtering.

Measurement value filteringSometimes the working environment is less than
ideal. Long measurement distances, air with
varying temps and surrounding vibrations can
cause unstable readings. Choose filter from the
menu, and you will get reliable and stable
measurement values even in the toughest of
conditions.

Equipment for the futureThe Easy-LaserTM systems are designed to grow
as the needs increase. If you add the swiveling
laser D22 you can measure straightness,
flatness, parallelism, squareness, horizontal
plane and plumbline.
With a 2-axis detector you get both horizontal
and vertical measurement values at the same
time. This is useful for example when measuring
vertical and horizontal straightness at the same
time.These are examples of how you can use
the upgradeability in our systems.
