Dionisio, Juan C., of the Philippines, a former Philippine consul general in Honolulu, will be

remembered in a service tomorrow. Dionisio, 84, died Aug. 11 in the Philippines. He had a

diplomatic career that spanned 31 years, serving as consul general in Honolulu and Singapore.

He reached the rank of Philippine Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary before retiring

in 1975. After he retired he founded and published the Hawaii Filipino News. Born in the

Philippines, he is survived by daughter Patricia Reyes; sons Juanito C. II, Roberto F. and

Tuesday in Kona Community Hospital. Duran was a scientist/engineer who worked for United
