    Gain professional career development at the County of Santa Clara

    The New Americans Fellowship is a leadership pipeline for DACA recipients managed bythe Office of Immigrant Relations. The Fellowship is 10 weeks between June 2020 -September 2020 and offers a stipend to cover living expenses. Fellows are placed invarious County departments and gain transferable, professional development and skills.

    Current recipient of Deferred Action For Childhood Arrivals (DACA) with work permit eligibilitythrough the entire length of the Fellowship (June 2020 - September 2020)Employment authorization cardCurrently working, living, or attending school in Santa Clara CountyCan commit to 10 weeks between June 2020 - September 2020Undergraduate, graduate, or recent college graduateDesire to be involved in social justice for the immigrant community

    Eligibility Checklist (All Must Apply)

    Up to $10,000 stipend to cover living expensesMentorship from subject matter expertsLetter(s) of recommendationExposure to local governmentServe as ambassadors to improve and expand immigrant integrationProfessional skills such as policy analysis, research, group facilitation, public communication,graphic design and marketing, project support, and project management
