The Daily 49er has been the official newspaper of record for California State University, Long Beach since the opening of the school in 1949. The Daily 49er is distributed Monday though Thursday to 45 on-campus locations and 32 off-campus locations and is the best and most cost effective way to reach the 39,000-plus population of students, faculty and staff. We also offer more multimedia content on our website at www.daily49er.com, iTunesU, Facebook, MySpace, YouTube and Twitter.

• Forty-Niner Publications consists of the Daily 49er newspaper, the Summer 49er, the Online Daily 49er, DIG Magazine and DIG Magazine Online. We reserve the right to accept or reject any advertisement within the pages of the aforementioned publications. The Forty-Niner board of publications reserves the right to decline, discontinue or revise any advertisement and to set the words “Paid Advertisement” above an ad. • Forty-Niner Publications reserves the right to refuse advertising content that does not meet with the Forty-Niner’s standards of acceptance.• The board of publications reserves the right to insert the name of an ad’s sponsor to the advertisement. • Samples of all mail order items must be available upon request of the advertising office.• Ads for political candidates or parties are not eligible for the campus rate and must bear the name and address of the sponsoring individual or organization. Such ads must be paid in advance.• The liability of the publisher or failure to publish an advertisement for any reason in the specified issue shall be limited to publishing the ad in a subsequent issue paid for by the advertising client.• The advertisement must be paid in advance unless credit has been established with Forty-Niner Publications and the advertiser’s account is current.• Publication of an advertisement does not constitute an agreement for continued publication.• Submission of an advertisement to a Forty-Niner Publication account does not constitute a commitment by Forty-Niner Publications to publish the advertisement. • Forty-Niner Publications will not accept any advertisements that contain X-rated pictures or language, including any advertisement that shows full-frontal nudity. FORMATS & SOFTWAREForty-Niner Publications operates on Macintosh computers. Although we can read most Windows formats, Mac files are preferred. PDF (Acrobat) files are preferred for submissions, however, we can also accept files from InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Word. Files converted to TIFF or EPS formats will also reproduce. To uphold the reproduction quality of your ad, please refrain from sending Web file formats, like JPEG or GIF.
