Union Ministry of Home Affairs gives approval for renaming ‘Durjanpur’ in MP as
‘Shivdham’
The Central Government has given its approval
for the proposal of the Madhya Pradesh State
Government, to change the name of a village in
Madhya Pradesh from ‘Durjanpur‘ to
‘Shivdham’. Durjanpur is situated in Katni
District of Madhya Pradesh.
AUSINDEX-19 Concludes
The Australian and Indian Navy have concluded
a two-week long bilateral maritime exercise code-
named AUSINDEX on 14 Apr 19. Personnel from
the Eastern Fleet bid farewell to Her Majesty's
Australian Ships Canberra, Newcastle, Parramatta
and Success with a promise to meet again.

The 72nd Himachal Day was celebrated in

TikTok ban in India: Google adheres to Madras HC order, suspends access to app
in country
After the Madras High Court refused to stay its
order banning the popular mobile app TikTok,
the government on 16th April asked Google and
Apple to comply with the court order and
remove the application. Reuters reported that
hours after Madras HC refused China-based
Bytedance Technology’s request to suspend the ban, Google blocked access to the app in India.
