In addition to the information covered in the "Instructions for our Celebrations" video,
here are just a few more things you're asked to remember when coming to the church:
- masks must be worn upon entrance to the church and kept on until you leave (with the
exception of when you are receiving Communion)
- please keep cell phones and other electronic devices turned off
- please do not bring any food or drinks into the church with you
- please do not chew gum in the church
- please remove hats upon entrance to the building
- we ask for your co-operation in refraining from taking photos and videos during
the First Communion Masses. Once the Masses have ended, please feel free to
go outside to take photos/videos while maintaining social distance from those from
other households.
- please remember that our parish needs financial support in order to continue to
operate. You're invited to make a contribution if you are able. During this time of
pandemic there is no collection during Mass, but a collection basket is provided by the
side exit at the end of all Masses.
As we are still awaiting responses from some families regarding their
participation over the next few weeks, a final email will be sent to the
families from each school on the Monday of the week of their school's
celebrations to confirm at that time how many family members will be
able to accompany each child who will be attending.
Please do not hesitate to contact our youth minister or myself with any questions. Our
contact information is provided once again below.

Revealing the Courageous Gift of Catholic Health Care
Bulletin Announcement To run September 27 and/or October 4, 2020
From October 4 to 10, we celebrate National Catholic Health Care Week across Canada. The Week recognizes the inspiring work of Catholic health care organizations in our province and across Canada. At the heart of Catholic health care is a deep respect for the intrinsic value and dignity of every human being and an unwavering commitment to serving all people, from all backgrounds and faiths—especially society’s most vulnerable.
This year the COVID-19 pandemic transformed our health care landscape and society. In Canada, the pandemic has shone a public light on many important social and ethical issues calling us all to reflect on the importance of human connection, quality of life, and the meaning of wellbeing—body, mind and spirit. The pandemic has also highlighted the timeless relevance of Catholic social teaching and our collective role in building a Canadian society that reaches out to every person who is suffering from illness, stigma, poverty, or loneliness.
During National Catholic Health Care Week, we give thanks for the courageous gift of Catholic health care during these challenging times—in hospitals, community health centers, or seniors care homes.
The pandemic calls us all to live the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. Holding all those impacted by COVID-19 in our hearts, we ask God to bless the work of Catholic health care and we offer our prayers, support, and encouragement for the people of our Catholic health organizations who care for all in need with compassion and courage.

Being PRO-LIFE is about understanding and appreciating the value of humans at all stages of development and in all circumstances.
Our society often undervalues the elderly and as a result, many feel lonely, neglected, and underserved. Instead of increasing community and support for the elderly, Canada has legalized euthanasia.
The simple solution is to spend more time loving the elderly in our communities.
CHALLENGE: We hope this inspires you to visit and spend more time with your grandparents or an elderly friend. And if you don’t have an elderly person in your life, why not get involved in our INSPIRE HOPE program where we’ll connect you to someone in a long-term care residence who is in need of hope and encouragement. haltonalive.ca/inspirehope
