Dairy farm Controlling System
Abstract
The project entitled “Dairy Farm controlling System” is developed
for all companies undergoing dairy product process. Dairy products
comprise a major part of our diet. This project maintains the activities
taken place in dairy industry. In this, attempt is made to design coding
that can maintain huge data regarding dairy breed details, agent details,
item details, stock details, employee details, processing details, sales
details and billing details. This major work involves maintaining the
details regarding the production of various items in each day which
involves milk, butter, cheese, curd, ice creams, and yogurt. Then the
Dairy breed’s production of milk in each day, number of employees
involving, steps of processing milk to produce milk-products and other
sales details etc. Their main objective is to produce good quality of
milks and milk products and then to earn good name among customers.
The software has the facility to input data through user-friendly input
forms which facilitates the easy entry of data. The major outputs are the
final reports.

3.1 EXISTING SYSTEM
In the existing system the transactions were carried out manually. The
details about dairy breeds and their milk stock details were noted down in papers
and registers. It is very difficult to trace a particular detail regarding a cow and
milk made products processing history of particular item during previous year.
Existing system is maintained manually.
Company maintains lots of hand written registers.
Inefficient in taking decisions.
The work done by the existing system is separate and tedious to maintain.
Drawbacks of Existing system
The Maintenance of large registers is very tedious.
It involves less security and loss of data may possible.
The existing system is time consuming.
The existing system is difficult to maintain.
Queries are difficult to handle.
3.2 PROPOSED SYSTEM
Computers play a vital role in this technological world where speed and
accuracy are the basic requirements in order to satisfy the customer needs. Then
systems can make maximum utilization of value of information and intelligence
within organization itself. Timely information is important to reduce the
uncertainty in decision-making. The Accounts section so far maintaining various
accounts manually. As it has many disadvantages the concept of this new system
evolved.

Large volume of data can be stored with case.
Records stored are updated now and then.
Accurate calculations are made.
Maintenances of file are flexible.
Stored data and procedures can be easily edited.
4. Module Description
1. Dairy breeds details
The details of variety of cows involving in the dairy farm industry and
milk producing capacity are maintained in this module. This module
maintains the details like dairy breed name, color, quantity of milk, current
date and other required information.
2. Agent details
This module keeps track of various agents who buying milk and milk
products from our industry.
3. Item details
This involves various milk product details like item name, quantity,
and cost per item and other related information.
4. Stock details
This module keeps track of gallons of milk, quantity of cheese, yogurt
and ice cream and their rate details are maintained.
5. Employee details
The details of farmers working for the dairy farm and their personal
profile are maintained by this module. This module maintains farmer name,
address and contact information.
6. Sales details
The details of milk and milk products issued to the customers and their
payment details are done in this module.
