Thank you to all of our generous families who helped us raise $342,055 during the Our Faith. Our Family. Our Future. Capital Campaign on Commitment Weekend! We are truly humbled by the overwhelming response we have received and are grateful to every single family who has made a sacrificial gift to this campaign.
Having hoped to raise $2.7500 for this campaign, to date, St. Mary of the Lakes has raised a total of $3,038,705!
There will be additional pledge cards available in the back of the church for any families who are still praying over their decision. As a reminder, additional funds raised above our initial campaign goal will be used for the Adoration Chapel and the heating and air conditioning system for the church.
I would like to, again, sincerely thank each family that has answered God’s call to be a good steward by making a financial commitment to our campaign, volunteered their time to assist with our efforts, or prayed for our success. This parish could not be the thriving community that it is today without your time, talent, and treasure, and I am so grateful for all that you do.
Our Faith. Our Family. Our Future. Capital Campaign comes to an end this month when Father Dan will better understand how to move forward with the building campaign for life of the parish upgrades. Parishioners with a background in architecture, engineering, and construction interested in serving on a Parish Building Council, please email resume to Father Dan at [email protected] or the parish office. Please include this undertaking in your prayers.
We can help the Church increase the number of priests if we pray for vocations by using our Pray for Vocations icon of the Mother of the Eternal High Priest. Sign the roster on the bulletin board outside the sacristy if you can participate. Praying this month are the Sarsfield, Dougherty, Hess, Andryca, Bell and Waldt families.
The Glory to God Prayer Group meets every Tuesday from 7:30-9:00 p.m. in the Emmaus Center. For information, contact Marianne Perkins at (609) 760-9221 or [email protected].

As you know, as of July 1st, Father Carlos will be transferred to St. Barnabas in Bayville, where there is a need for a bilingual priest. Additionally, St. Barnabas is also a Center for Hispanic Ministry. A Mass of Thanksgiving will be offered by Father Carlos on Sunday, June 25th at Noon, with a reception following in the Emmaus Center. Please mark your calendars to thank Father for his two years of priestly service with us and to wish him well as he continues his ordained ministry in Bayville.
Father Roy Aris B. Ballacillo officially joins St. Mary of the Lakes as Parochial Vicar on July 1st.
Make a donation of $130 for altar flowers to honor a loved one or make a special prayer request. Call the parish office at (609) 654-8208, Ext.110.
Did you know that you can communicate with your Ministry members and Minister Leader through the SML parish app? No emails, no texts! Just use the Groups icon on the app to join in or begin conversations with your fellow ministry members. It’s a great way to call meetings, have faith-based conversations.

Every other year, the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) invites Catholic youth and chaperones to encounter Christ, experience Church, and be empowered for discipleship.
They come together to pray, learn, and grow in faith, receive the sacraments of the Eucharist and penance, attend general and break-out sessions relevant to discipleship in today’s world, and visit with organizations that offer resources and support to youth and youth ministry. They also, spend time in personal and communal prayer and engage in service to others.
This year, SML is considering putting together a group of young disciples interested in attending the NCYC conference to learn more about living as Christ calls us to live.
The conference is scheduled for November 16-19 in Indianapolis. The estimated cost is $950.00 per person, including air, lodging, and meals. The parish will pay half for each participant, who then would be responsible to pay the other half of the cost.
Participants will be expected to fundraise to help defray costs. If you are a teen in our parish in grades 9-12 and want more information, contact Parish Youth Minister Linda T. Xerri at [email protected] or call Extension 111.
Registration deadline is June 26th, so there is a short window of time to determine if we will send a group to this year’s Conference along with other parishes in the Diocese.
Take time to share in the presence of Christ in adoration and honor Our Lady by participating in the Miraculous Medal Novena held on Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. in church.
Congratulations to our newest EMHCs who were installed at last evening’s 5:30 p.m. Mass (Saturday, June 17th):

Today you will find Operation Peter bookmarks in the pews. Take one home and follow the steps for bringing others to Christ. The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother, Peter...and he brought him to Jesus. (John 1:41-42)
Operation Peter is a program designed to help Catholics reach out to people they know—Catholic or not—who need Jesus Christ. It is a step-by-step process on how to help others come to a more fulfilling life by encountering the one who loves them: Jesus.
It has been said that courage is the willingness to suffer for what is true, good, and beautiful. The desire to be courageous is written into the fiber of a man's being, and the Church’s understanding of masculinity is sacrifice.
True masculinity is embodied in Jesus Christ and in his sacrifice on the Cross, which all Christians should imitate daily.
We pray God will bless the men in our lives and give them courage.
Spend time this month with the men in your life and take a look at some of the following offerings on FORMED.org using the Correct Parish Code: ZZFDVV.

The eighth grade celebrated their graduation at a special Mass, during which diplomas, scholarships, and merit awards were presented. The occasion was filled with applause, sentiment, and camera flashes, as each received his or her certificate. Awards/scholarships were presented by Father Carlos, Father Dan, and PTA President Laura Campanaro.

Each grade sang a special song of good-bye and well-wishes, after which Father Carlos and Mrs. Hoover received gifts from the staff and the PTA, and then expressed their gratitude and well-wishes in the coming school year.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise— so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth. Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:1-4 For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just, so that the LORD will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him. Genesis 18:19
The father of a righteous man has great joy; he who has a wise son delights in him.
Proverbs 23:24
Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! Matthew 7:9-11
