Welcome It is a great pleasure to lead a strong Danish business delegation to India accompanied by CEOs
from some of Denmark’s biggest companies and it is an honor for Denmark to participate - for
the second time - as a partner country to this important 9th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat 2019
Summit.
India is the world’s largest democracy and the relationship between Denmark and India is based
on mutual respect and shared values.
The Indian economy has experienced an impressive growth during the last 40 years, and India is
now the 6th largest economy in the world. This has not only contributed to a rapidly expanding
Indian middle class, but has also increased India’s role as an emerging economic power house, to
the benefit of global economic prosperity.
Gujarat is an example of India’s economic growth as the state has been very successful in formu-
lating policies to enable a business friendly environment and to attract investments. Many Dan-
ish companies are already present in Gujarat.
However, there is still a large unrealized potential for further commercial cooperation between
Denmark and India.
Danish companies hold leadership positions within sectors and areas that are in high demand in
India. The ports and maritime areas as well as urban development, water technologies, renewa-
ble energy, health care or improved efficiency in the agricultural sector are all spheres where
Denmark has something unique to offer.
We hope that this visit will contribute to an enhanced commercial relationship between Den-
mark and India to the mutual benefit of both countries in terms of economic growth, invest-
ments and jobs.
H.E. Lars Løkke Rasmussen
Prime Minister
H.E. Jakob Ellemann-Jensen
Minister for Environment and Food

Welcome
This official Danish business delegation to Vibrant Gujarat headed by the Danish Prime Minis-
ter Lars Løkke Rasmussen underlines the very positive development in Indo-Danish relations.
I am proud that more than 20 Danish companies participate and are dedicated to expanding
their commercial ties and activities in India.
The participating Danish companies are world leaders in their individual line of business and
offer solutions to a range of challenges in India. This delegation is both a consolidation of a
long-standing and friendly relation and at the same time it marks the beginning of new and
broader commercial partnerships between Denmark and India.
Denmark is a small and open economy, highly dependent on trade with other countries. For-
eign trade and investments are thus the driving forces for the Danish business sector and
good external trade relations are crucial for the Danish economy.
Our expectations for the outcome of the visit to India are high and the response among Indi-
an partners is a living proof of the friendly and open-minded relations that have existed be-
tween our two countries for a very long time.
We are certain that this visit will strengthen our mutual trading and economic ties – bringing
growth, prosperity and sustainability to both our countries. We are looking forward to the
coming days in Gujarat.
Thank you to the Indian and Danish companies for participating in the planned activities.

Finance your purchase from Denmark
We facilitate financing at competitive rates
Danish suppliers offer a diverse range of goods
and services. With help from EKF, these highly
capable suppliers can also help you finance your
purchase.
If you are looking to
• buy Danish goods and services
• secure a credit to go with your purchase
• benefit from a stable financing solution at
competitive rates
EKF can help you.
Secure your financing
If you need long-term financing to buy goods or
services from a Danish company, EKF, together
with a bank, can help you arrange financing from
the supplier.
Or, if you plan to purchase goods or services
from various Danish companies, we may be able
to arrange a shopping line covering multiple con-
tracts. This enables you to make purchases from
multiple Danish suppliers with the peace of mind
that the financing is already in place.
We participate in both small and large transac-
tions. In both cases, you will be offered a com-
petitive financing deal once you are covered by
our AAA-guarantee to back your credit.
Financing to international buyers of Danish
goods and services is primarily used in connec-
tion with purchases of capital goods and with
credit periods of six months and above.
EKF is one of the leading financial institutions
within the global wind industry. Within the last
decade, we have participated in the financing of
wind projects all over the world. In the North
Sea, specifically, we have played a key role in the

shore wind parks.

Universal Robots has reinvented industrial ro-
botics with lightweight and flexible robot arms,
dubbed "cobots" (collaborative robots), which are
built on the concept of Human Robot Collabora-
tion, or HRC. These Danish-designed cobots auto-
mate production across businesses of all sizes and
industries – even in SMEs that regard automation
as prohibitively expensive, cumbersome, and diffi-
cult to integrate.
As the pioneers of cobots, UR has over 27,000
cobots installed around the globe as of today, and
strives to make robot technology accessible to all
levels of industry, and optimize production in ever
-expanding markets. By offering a user-friendly,
flexible, and affordable cobot, Universal Robots
lowers the automation barrier, enabling automa-
