DARLING of the Ogilvie clan DEI * DONUM The free gift of god The Darling clan originated in the River Tweed, in Southern Scotland in 1293 AD. It’s ancestors migrated to America on the Mayflower, to Middleboro, Massachusetts and then on to Rutland, Vermont Cherry Creek, New York. Liz and Steve Pattison met at the Historic Eagle House Restaurant in Buffalo, NY. After a romantic courtship the two married at the Dalhousie Castle in Scotland. They honeymooned touring castles, visiting pubs and viewing the beautiful country sides in and around Scotland. The story book wedding was easy to convince Liz to share her husbands passion for wanting to find ways to put a ―Little Celtic Charm in your day‖. Thus the birth of the Darling House Pub and Grill, where they hope neighbors will eat, meet and greet. Steve & Liz moved from Buffalo, NY. to Southport, NC. in 2000, and subsequently moved to Pinehurst in 2006 to make Moore County their permanent home.
