Work History:

December 04 – Present date:A.I.T - G.S.E Waterbrook Ltd.2009 – Present - General Manager2004 – 2009 - Catering Manager/ HR/ Duty Operations Manager

As General Manager I am responsible for all aspects of the site, this includes 7 managers, 40+ employees and 15 contract employees.

The site’s turn over exceeds 3.5 million per year with a bottom line profit of around 1 million. Under my management I have increased the customer base each year, with record levels in 2015 since opening.

I have been involved in setting up a national rollout of new secure parks with intelligent parking systems and high quality dignified areas, creating business plans, presentations, legal documents etc. I have sat on the board of DfT, RHA, local and county council meetings. Since 2009 I have been responsible for all aspects of the site/ business which includes:

Sales – parking, reception, 2 retail shops, 24/7 5 star awarded restaurant & bar, fuel Station, hotel facilities & gymnasium.

Contracts – 60+ Accounts, outside staff contract (security, cleaners & vehicle washes) & all other related business contracts. This includes negotiating prices, relations, setting up & contractual documentation.

Accounts – Sage, Epos, p&l’s, business plans, sales documents/ charts, banking, k.p.i’s, c.o.s & overheads, supplier/ contractual payments, departmental targeting, budgeting & forecasting.

Project Managing – Designed & managed websites, gymnasiums, secure parking areas with intelligent parking systems, reservation system & an advertising campaign.

Advertising – Flyers designs, writing news paper articles, websites & posters designs. H.R – I look after 40+ employees & 6 departmental managers. I oversee all aspects of the

H.R within this business reporting back to H.O if required. This includes all contractual issues, interviewing, disciplinary & grievance, staff training (in house & nvq’s), wages & all incentives.

General site operations – Liaising with onsite/ offsite maintenance teams/ contracts, security & cleaning contracts making sure the all aspects are being covered for the smooth day to day running of the site.

2004-2009 as Catering Manager, I manage the whole of the catering (restaurant/ bar) area with a turn-over of 5-6 hundred thousand per year, this involves taking control of 20 plus staff members, full financial accountability including G.P’s/K.P.I’s, three month/ yearly budgeting, benchmarking prices against similar competition all over the UK, monitoring labour expenditure and that all operational short term/ long term objectives and customer satisfaction are met.

2005 H.R Manager was also introduced to my role as Catering Manager. I manage all personnel issues of 40+ employees, this involves all grievance & disciplinary, ensuring all staff meet company training & development skills (i.e customer service etc), implementing government training schemes (NVQ’s, day courses & apprenticeships), taking every advantage of inside and outside funding, H & S, interviewing, managing absence, appraisals, writing/ implementing all contracts, polices and procedures, maintaining all employment laws/ legislations , equality/ diversity/ equal opportunity and all good personnel practice.
