Darver Castle Estate dates back to the 15th Century and is situated on 50 acres of

fine parkland and wooded grounds in the rolling countryside of County Louth.

A beautiful private estate steeped with history and romance, it has been lovingly

restored by the Carville family, who continue to care for it.

The Estate is ideally located on the N52, 45 minutes from Belfast and Dublin .

Following significant investment and a major restoration programme over the last

5 years, it is waiting to be discovered by you.

We are fully committed to making your wedding the most memorable day of your

life, therefore we only cater for one wedding per day, this ensures total privacy.

Arrival Celebration

A warm welcome awaitsyou and your special

guests...We offer you a unique experience, to make our home exclusively

yours. Your arrival reception is hosted on the ground floor of the

oldest part of the castle. This allows your guests to explore the old

world elegance and charm on offer.

Dining - Brabazon Suite

Blending old world elegance with modern day comforts

Darver Castle boasts a magnificent banqueting suite. Complete with exposed beams and

cut stone walls, this room is filled with both character and charm, we cater for weddings

from 50-280 guests.

For your wedding day, we provide a delicious range of house made canapés to whet the

appetite followed by an exquisite banquet meal served in our Brabazon Suite. Noted for

our excellent cuisine, your Darver castle banquet will be complemented by unparalleled

service.

Our manicured gardensare perfect for photographic

memories...Within the gates of Darver Castle you sense peace and serenity. Along the sweeping driveway to

the castle, the towers and turrets come into view. With our mature trees and manicured lawns

you are sure to have many perfect photographic opportunities.

We have lovingly restored the castle along with the old historic stables into an exceptionally

high standard transforming the estate into a haven of luxury and offering total privacy for you

and your guests to enjoy. Our landscaped gardens are brimmed full of rose gardens, water

fountains, water features, walled gardens, outdoor seating areas and offer endless photographic

opportunities.

Accommodation at Darver Castle Estate

Our Castle offers elegance, comfort & luxury...

There are 54 rooms in total at Darver Castle Estate. These rooms are situated in the

Main Castle, Courtyard, Stables and Oakwood Cottages.

Following extensive refurbishment, many of the rooms have been individually and

lovingly designed, combining the Castles original features with the latest luxuries. Darver

Castle can cater for 120 guests throughout the Estate in absolute privacy, adding that

extra personal touch to your special day.

Breakfast for all guests is served in the Grain Store Breakfast room.

The Main CastleThe main castle has 11 luxurious en-suite bedrooms exclusively for you and your

families, creating a home from home for your day. These beautifully restored rooms

complement the warm atmosphere of the castle. Exclusively yours on your special day,

guests can fully absorb the charm and character of this unique venue.

The CourtyardThese bedrooms are set within a picturesque walled stone courtyard. The rooms boast a

contemporary design while still maintaining the traditional theme of the castle. There is a

mixture of double and family rooms available.

The StablesThe stable bedrooms are also set within a picturesque stone courtyard in a quiet corner

of the estate. This building is listed and if you are a lover of old buildings you will fall in

love with these rooms which have been lovingly restored.

The Oakwood CottagesOakwood Cottages are our guest houses located off-site just outside the castle entrance

approx. 300 metres from Darver Castle. There are 12 double rooms, 1 twin room and 1

The Bridal ParlourThe Bridal Parlour Suite is a unique concept designed so that you and your bridal party can

enjoy the experience of getting ready together. Share a wedding breakfast and prosecco

and toast to what awaits you on your special day, while hair and make-up preparations

take place. The bridal parlour is a comfortable and luxurious area overlooking our stunning

walled courtyard. If you wish to avail of the Bridal Parlour please discuss this with your

wedding specialist.

Wedding ceremonies can be performed in our newly refurbished ceremony room. This

lies within the courtyard and can seat 150 guests.

The courtyard provides a perfect backdrop for capturing the best moments of your

special day in a magnificent outdoor setting which can seat up to 280 guests.

There are a number of churches of different denominations in the local area. For advice

please ask your wedding co-ordinator for more details.

• To reserve your wedding date a deposit of €1500 is required upon booking and a further €2000 is required 12 months before the wedding date.

• Full payment for your wedding banquet is required 7 working days before the wedding. Your final account is based on numbers confirmed 7 days prior to the wedding date.

CIVIL CEREMONIES

• Do you cater for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies? Yes we do depending on the time of year and weather permitting.

• What is the max number of guests we can have at our civil ceremony? 150 seated indoor, and up to 280 seated outdoor.

• What time can a ceremony be held from? 3pm.

• How long does the ceremony last? Approximately 30mins.

• How much does it cost to hire the ceremony room? €350.

ACCOMMODATION

• How many guests can Darver Castle accommodate overnight?

Currently we have 54 rooms in total; these consist of single, double, triple and some family rooms. Altogether Darver Castle Estate sleeps approx. 120 guests.

• What are the different types of accommodation available?

Castle rooms - there are 11 in total (mainly used for bridal party)

Courtyard Rooms, Stable Rooms & Oakwood Cottages guest accommodation. Your wedding co-ordinator will advise you on how to make bookings for these rooms.

• Do I have to fill all the rooms?

There is a requirement to fill all 11 rooms in the Castle only. The castle will cater for 22 adults.

• Is breakfast included in the overnight rate for accommodation?

Yes breakfast is included in all overnight rates.

• What time is breakfast served?

Between 08:30am – 10:30am.

• Can I stay in the venue the night before or the night after?

Unfortunately not, as we are an exclusive wedding venue we only provide accommodation on the day of a wedding. This ensures there is no one else on the Estate on the day of any given wedding.

• What is check-in & check-out time?

Check-in is 15:00pm and check-out for the Castle Rooms is 12:00pm & Courtyard, Stables and Oakwood Cottages is 11:00am.

FOOD & BEVERAGES

• Darver Castle provides all catering and beverage requirements for the wedding party.

• We allow corkage on standard bottles of wine during the meal, please ask your wedding co-ordinator for rates.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• Deposits are accepted in good faith and are strictly non–refundable.

ADDITIONAL EXTRAS

• Additional extras can be added to your package and upgrades are available.

SPEECHES

• Speeches are scheduled for after your banquet meal, however, should you wish to have them before the meal a service charge will apply.
