Data Centre Expert, DCIM & Netbotz On-site PPM Schedule

Overview of ServiceWorkspace Technology's StruxureWare Data Centre Expert, StruxureWare DCIM and Netbotz software and hardware on-site Performance Review and Software Upgrade Service is designed to support and enhance your on-site installation. Providing you with peace of mind that your Schneider Electric Data Centre Management and Monitoring applications will receive the care they need to operate at optimal levels at all times.

The StruxureWare Data Centre Expert, StructureWare DCIM and Netbotz Periodic Maintenance service is based on an on-site visit performed by one of our Schneider Electric Certified Software Service Experts. This service is designed to review, analyse, detect and prevent system failures whilst optimising the usage of your Netbotz and StruxureWare management tools.

A Workspace Technology Certified Engineer will attend site to meet with the client team to review the data centre(s) in question and to perform the preventative maintenance activities utilising industry best practices.

n Ensures you stay up-to-date with the latest software releases and technical support

n Reviews, analyses, detects and prevents system failures while optimising the use of the DCE, DCIM & Netbotz management & monitoring tools.

n Offers hands-on training on key features, operational skills and best practices, enabling you to get the most from your system.

DCE/DCIM FULL MAINTENANCE SERVICE Item

Item Service Detail

The site visit will ensure the DCE/DCIM systems will perform to the manufacturer specifications and will include but not limited to activities detailed below:

Configuration Review - Review DCE/DCIM configuration parameters with the client. To undertake configuration changes as required to match the existing infrastructure.

Software Revisions - Verify the software version of your data centre DCE/DCIM software to ensure they are up-to-date with the most recent upgrades and patches.

4 License Keys - Verify that sufficient license keys and/or node licenses are available for future expansion. This task is based on existing and on-site data gathered during the visit.

5 Storage - Verify the storage settings of the server. This includes Repositories, Purge Settings and Disk Array status if applicable. The level of occupancy will be tracked.

6 Backup - Verify that the backup schedule and the backups are configured according to best practice.

7 System Clock - Check the system clock and the existence of a correct Time Server Setup configuration.

Alarms - Verify and test the alarm notifications in cooperation with the client. The test will cover the same alerting mechanism used by the client.

Firmware Upgrade - Firmware updates for any Schneider Electric device connected and accessible from the network will be performed. Access to the Internet from the server is a prerequisite. Equipment includes, but not limited to rPDUs, Rack ATS devices, Rack Access Control Systems, UPSs etc.

Optimal Performance - Diagnose, repair and test the unit to ensure optimal performance.

Reporting - Provide a detailed report of work performed including recommendations for service to ensure optimal performance

Additional Work - Any additional works recommended during the service visit will be submitted as a variation

Netbotz Environmental Monitoring Item Service

Item Service Detail

1 The site visit will ensure that the Netbotz system will perform to the manufacturer specifications and will include, but not limited to activities detailed below:

2 Configuration Review - Review Netbotz alarm thresholds and configuration parameters with the client. To undertake configuration and alarm threshold changes as required to match the existing infrastructure and environmental conditions.

3 Firmware Upgrade - The firmware for the Netbotz device(s) will be updated where accessible. Access to the internet from the server is a prerequisite.

4 Alarms - Verify and test the Netbotz alarm notifications in cooperation with the client. A random sample of tests will be performed.

Optimal Performance - Diagnose, repair and test the unit to ensure optimal performance

Reporting - Provide a detailed report of work performed including recommendations for service to ensure optimal performance

Questions & Answers Item

Item Service Detail

1 The Workspace Technology Service Engineer will prompt the client with questions which may be relevant for improving the current solution.

The client may pose questions to the Service Engineer about doubts, additional functionalities or any other recommendations or concerns he might have. The Service Engineer will provide answers and/or escalate the questions to Schneider Electrics' central team where appropriate.

Assumptions

The successful performance of the activities defined is based on the following key assumptions;n Workspace Technology will perform all services during business hours (Monday through Friday from 8.00am to 5.00pm weekly, local time).

n The scheduled on-site work time will be discussed and approvedbetween Workspace Technology and the client. The client will ensure that all required access to systems will be available for the Workspace Technology Service Engineer prior to arrival.

n The client will make available the required expert users to assist Workspace Technology with data requirements and to perform the adequate testing and validation of the systems.

n The client will be responsible for the accuracy of the information provided to Workspace Technology during the data gathering part of the visit.
