NEXT is the measurement of signal
interference from 1 pair to the other pair,
within the same cable.

Why is Alien Crosstalk so important to 10GBASE-T?
It is critical to the application.
10GBASE-T is the most sensitive application
developed for Copper cabling so far.
It cannot be ‘compensated’ in equipment.
Bit-Error-Rate is set at 10-12 (BER).
If failure occurs, transmission may not just degrade,
but stop.
It is difficult to achieve with UTP Cabling.
It will be difficult and expensive to test in the field.
