The following sheets are used as a simple database to sort up to 1000 rows and 12 columns per sheet.

Each sheet is independent, not influenced by other sheets and can be renamed, copied. moved or deleted.

The first 4 rows can be used for titles and/or subtotal formulas

Columns can be hidden, widths can be changed & formatting can be applied without harming the function of the database.

All the macros can be edited to sort in ascending or descending as well as second and third key sorts.

You must enter data in "column A" with each new entry so the proper count can be calculated.

Sorting is accomplished by pressing the invisible macro button that covers the column headings.

The underlined heading indicates the column by which your database is sorted.

Do not delete entire rows or columns, only the desired text then sort by the desired column.

The database should be sorted if it has been edited or additional entries have been made.

The DATA FILTERS attached to the 12 columns applies only to the active sheet and is used to display desired information.

Every time a sorting MACRO is used, the DATA FILTERS will be reset to show all entries on the active sheet only.

Once the desired sheet layout is achieved, the column & row headings can be deselected in the "Tools\Options" menu.

The end of the data entry area is indicated by the 5 rows with a reduced row height (Rows 1006-1010).

The "FilterCriteria" User Defined Function is written by Stephen Bullen. Row 4 contains these functions.

The headings can be changed by using the arrow keys to activate the cell and simply type the desired heading.

Enter all new data at the next available row, DO NOT attempt to insert rows, delete rows or move data.
