Reception We have been learning numbers to 20. We have learnt s a t p I n in letters and sounds. We have met our Y6 buddies and have been enjoying spending time with them.

Year 1 We have been learning our cursive handwriting. I

I am getting much better. By Dorothy.

We have been acting out and pretending to be very hungry caterpillars!. By Grace.

Year 2 More bread making to report! This time it was Anglo Saxon bread. We discovered that the poor people in Saxon times (300AD) used barley and oat flour and rich people used wheat and rye flour. We are collecting our recipes to publish a historical bread recipe book for you to purchase later in the year.

Year 3 We’ve been writing leaflets about Guide Dogs. By Rhys.

In RE, we learnt about creation and when Eve ate the apple. By Michael.

Mrs Howard visited us with her baby. By Sofia.

Year 4 This week we have been discussing how to achieve our goal to raise £500 for the SUF (Shared universe foundation)! So keep your eyes peeled for some wonderful things to buy to support this great cause.

Year 5 This week in English we have been writing a diary entry from World War 2. Also, in Maths we have been learning about place value numbers up to ten thousand. In Science we have been learning about properties of materials.

Year 6 We drew the Vikings and wrote about them. I like to write and draw creative stuff. We needed to draw a doughnut with a Viking sword going through it. In Writing we had to write a Viking story using our own words. By Noah.

Homework…. Jake Thompson in Y5, has produced a fantastic piece of homework. Year 5’s topic is World War 2 and one of their choice piece’s of homework was to build an Anderson shelter (air raid shelter). Jake’s shelter is wired with power so there is a little light and even the siren sounds warning of an air raid. He made little sand bags, chairs and beds and has even painted a beautiful black silhouette sky line. It was defiantly a WOW moment when he brought it into school…..Well done Jake!
