The spring term is often one of the hardest of the year. It might often be the shortest, but we have to fit in as much as usual and usually during damp and cold weather. However, we have come to the end of it, and the sun is shining and reminding us of the hope of Easter and New Life.

The news is full of education news at the moment; only yesterday we heard that KS1 Sats might be on the way out- again, but what is certainly true is that the school is facing an uncertain financial future, which makes us even more grateful for your support through the PA. The sponsored maths quiz raised a phenomenal amount and will be used to help fund the replacement windows on the far side of the school. These are still the original windows and are a combination of "don't open", "don't shut properly" and "lets the rain in". The work will start over the holidays and may need to be completed once the children are back, so be careful around the site.

We wish you all a happy and Holy Easter and look forward to seeing all the children back on 18th April.

Thank You!

Thank you so much to everyone who donated to our Bring an Easter Egg to School project. You donated a fabulous 291 Easter eggs and £48.70. On Tuesday we delivered 126 eggs to Oakleigh School. On Wednesday some children from Northway School visited us and were presented with 100 eggs to share out with their friends back at school. They were so pleased with their gifts that they invited some of our Y5 and Y6 pupils to visit them today to see the Easter eggs being shared out. The remaining  65 eggs were given to the Stables Club . Your cash donations will be passed by cheque to Crisis – a homeless charity .

On behalf of all the very happy recipients of your generous gifts – Thank You!

WhatsApp

We are aware of the increasing use by parents of WhatsApp to communicate across different groups. WhatsApp is a powerful tool which can have many benefits and help bring parents and classes together. However, it also has the potential to contribute to speculation and hearsay. Please be judicious in what you write and remember that we are always available to answer or clarify any concerns.
