Stage 2 Camp - Tallebudgera Sport and Recreation Centre On Wednesday 7 November, students from Year 3 and 4 travelled to Tallebudgera Sport and Recreation Centre for the annual Stage 2, three day adventure camp. The camp involved participation in fun activities such as:

Rock Climbing

The Giant Swing

Archery

High Ropes

Kayaking

'Team Rescue'

The students faced lots of challenges during the camp and for many this camp was the first time they have been away from their families for an extended period. This in itself can be their 'big' challenge. During the camp students gained valuable skills in co-operation, team building, setting goals and self belief. The activities also gave them the opportunity to explore and extend their physical and mental capabilities. Our students at all times upheld our Tregeagle School values and were a credit to the school and themselves. I was very proud of them as a group and as individuals. I, on behalf of all the attending students, would like to thank Mrs Golding, for organising the camp and being a Group Leader. Thanks also to our other Group Leaders Mr Bock and Mrs Benson, the instructors and staff at Tallebudgera Sport and Recreation for making this years camp such a memorable experience. Adam Lenehan Student Learning Support Quotes "At camp I was terrified of the rock wall because I slipped and felt nervous. But, I pushed myself all the way to the top. It's a long way up!" Chloe B 2/3G "I set my goal to climb halfway up the High Ropes Cargo Net but, I pushed it to the top which is 15 meters high. When I got up there I could see houses and the beach." Ruby M 2/3G "I went to the top of the Giant Swing and it was scary. But it was fun when it slowed down." Jack H 2/3G "On High Ropes I was scared to go to the top so I didn't. I came back down. But I conquered my fear and climbed back up to the top." Jesse McK 3/4B "At the High Ropes my hands were sweating because I was a bit nervous at first, but I did it. It was fun and we all completed all of the challenges we tried." Kai T 3/4 B "On High Ropes I didn't think I could get to the top of the giant ladder because when you get higher they get further apart. As I got further to the top I got more scared but was able to stand on the very top." Ruby H 3/4 B "High ropes was really challenging but I did way better then I thought I could. The rest of the group did amazing as well, we all got really high. I climbed to the third log on the Centipede." Jessica G 3/4B "I set my goal to go a quarter way up on the Giant Swing which was about 5 meters up but I went to the top which is 20 meters. So I conquered my fear!" Oliver P 2/3G
