We can’t always fit in all the information into the newsletter. This is a reminder to check the bulletin boards at the community center for any updates, cancellations, etc. Since all the snowbirds are returning, please fill out the tie down forms to register for this FREE program. I need over 200 more applications so that we are eligible to begin. Forms are available in the Business Office. On Friday, November 11th at 9a.m., we are hosting a CPR seminar in the library. If we have at least 15 people attend the class, the cost will be $10 per person. Less than that will cost each attendee $20. We will be reviewing CPR techniques, basic first aid as well as using an AED. Please join us. The first HOA Meeting will be held Monday, November 14th at 6:30 p.m. Even if you do not wish to belong the HOA, you can still attend the meetings so you aware of what is happening in the park. All meetings are held in the auditorium. We will again be collecting toys for the Toys for Tots program. As soon as the boxes arrive, you may make donations for girls or boys—or both! Thank you for your contributions. It helps make someone’s holiday brighter. All offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 24th and Friday, November 25th.

On November 22nd, we will be lunching at the Village Inn.

From all of us singles, have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

If any of you single guys or gals are interested in joining a great bunch of people,

contact Vicki at 614-581-1809. Look forward to getting together with you!

The Sharing Center’s Annual Thanksgiving Dinner needs our help. Please join us in sharing needed items at our HOA meeting, including stuffing, instant potatoes, canned cranberry, boxed corn-bread, mayonnaise and canned tuna fish.

Hello to all our Tropical Haven family, friends and neighbors, It was so good to hear that we were blessed during hurricane. There was damage in the park according to the reports that I heard, but it was minor in comparison to what it could have been. Let us all pray for those who were not as fortunate in areas hit hard by the storm and who are recovering from the devastation. The snowbirds are starting to head south so things will be booming in the park once again. Do hope that all the journeys will be safe ones. We look forward to meeting our new residents. On Sunday November 13, the country/bluegrass music will begin in the hall at 1:30 to 3:30PM.. If you play a musical instrument, sing or just want to listen, please feel free to stop by. We also have it on Wednesdays in the library from 1 to 3PM. All are welcome. We will look forward to seeing many of you at our first Homeowners meeting on November 14th. Please plan to attend. Remember if you are not yet a HOA member you can join for just $1 per year at the meeting. Let's strive for 100% membership this year! Where else can you go for fun, entertainment and food for just a dollar? Also this is a great way to get to know the other residents. At this meeting we honor our veterans so if you are a veteran or know a veteran, plan to be there. We are starting to collect items suitable for selling at the December 3rd flea market, so if you have something, please drop it off in the hallway near the backdoor. Remember PLEASE no TVS, computers, sofabeds, or mattresses. Thank you! Our first flea market meeting is in the social room Monday, November 7, 2016 from 10 - 11 AM. We welcome newcomers who would like to become involved. I had a call from Ted Brockett who unfortunately had a fall and will not be back as early this year, but he wanted everyone to know that the Bocce court is there for your use. Please just rake the court after using it so it's ready for someone else. There should be a set of Bocce balls for your use there. If not, please let Kate know. I hear that other activities are beginning once again. Someone told me that Roger Haney at a recent shuffleboard tournament made pro! Congratulations Roger. We have ready a volunteer plaque that we will be unveiling at the meeting. It will replace the certificates that were previously in the hall. Many thanks to Wayne Shaffer for making the wood plaque and putting it together with the name plaques. I think everyone will be very proud to see it hanging in the hallway. Once we are all back, we'll work again on getting the military base pictures all framed and hung in the library as we spoke about last year. We look forward to any suggestions that you may have regarding things that we could do in the park for the residents benefit. Don't forget our annual Thanksgiving dinner! I don't know how they do it, but they have the best turkey dinner. Hope to see you all there! I know we'll be there. If you didn't absentee vote before heading south or if you are a resident of Florida, remember to vote on November 8th. Looking forward to seeing everyone again!
