No. We know that we have the full capacity to love, share and build a family through adoption. He has dual citizenship and has both Canadian and American heritage. His father and stepmoth- er live nearby and his mother moved nearby last year to be an active grandparent. Dave is kind, outgoing and brings his great sense of humor to any situation. Just look at these pic- tures! He enjoys being a dad, being silly with our daughter, sports (playing and watching), mu- sic (he was in a band) and good conversa- tion with good friends. Dave’s French Cana- dian and British heritage is also important to him. He is active and believes in keeping physically fit.

Dave, Rebecca & McKinley

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to read our letter

and getting to know us. We are thrilled that you

are looking at our profile and getting a good

idea of who we are and the kind of family we will

provide. We are extremely excited to be on our

second adoption journey and ecstatic about the

opportunity of adding another little one to our

family!

We are Dave and Rebecca, married in 2004,

and every bit as much in love today as we were

on that day. From the beginning of our lives to-

gether, we knew we wanted to have a family.

We tried for many years and then came decision

time: in vitro fertilization or adoption? That is a

question that goes right to the heart of what

family means to us. Do we need our children to

have our genes? Although the question is pro-

found the answer for us was simple. No. We know

that we have the full capacity to love, share and

build a family through adoption. This philosophy

was solidified when we adopted our daughter in

2014 and we’d love the opportunity to add even

more love to our family with another little one.

About Rebecca by Dave: Rebecca is a sweet and kind person with a great

love for people. Needless to say, she is outgoing!

She has always been an excellent communicator

with well developed interpersonal skills. She

earned her degree in Consumer Affairs and enjoys

a successful career as a consultant. But her most

rewarding job is being a mom!

Rebecca is a wonderful mother! She is kind and

nurturing, with a great disposition. Everyday she

wakes up with so much love and joy for the world.

She truly loves being a mother and protector of our

child! She gives all of herself into raising our daugh-

ter, and we feel that our family would be even

more complete with a second child.

Rebecca is great at teaching and spending time

with our daughter. They frequently take walks to

the park, and play activities that help our daughter

develop as a person. She shows nothing but love

and kindness as a parent. That was instilled in her

by how she was raised. It has truly been the most

rewarding aspect of her life.

Rebecca also believes in keeping physically fit.

She has a passion for healthy eating and a healthy

lifestyle. She participates in CrossFit, which chal-

lenges her mind and body. She has run multiple

half marathons and 5K races, and together we

work to stay healthy. As a family, we frequently

spend Sunday morning cooking healthy meals for

the upcoming week. She is an amazing cook!

Raising Our Family

We are a loving family that believe in pro-

moting character and core values. We will

seek to provide meaningful experiences for

your child. We will encourage your child to

seek within themselves their creative abilities,

talents and passions. We will encourage par-

ticipation in various activities such as sports,

music, art, or whatever their interests may be.

Our goal is to be nurturing parents who will

provide every possible opportunity.

We will raise your child to be an upstanding

member of their community. We will instill the

important lessons that will help them grow

along their path to adulthood. We are also

very attentive to family traditions and our

family is very excited about the opportunity

to sharing traditions with another child.

Also, knowing that heritage is important to us,

we will ensure that your child has the oppor-

tunity to learn about their own heritage, as

we know it might be different than ours.

We are family with a unique perspective on

adoption. Rebecca’s brother and sister are

both adopted and her cousins have adopt-

ed two children. Adoption is a natural fit for

our family.

you choose us as adoptive parents , your child will be

loved, respected, and given all the opportunities to

grow and succeed in life. We will always be honest

with your child about where they came from, and

know about the courageous choice you made. We

are open to maintaining contact with you, or whatev-

er makes you more comfortable. Our hope is that this

profile will give you a glimpse into our family and how
