Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace is the London home and primary residence of the British monarch. Located in the City of Westminster, the palace is a setting for state occasions and royal hospitality. It has been a focus for the British people at times of national rejoicing and crisis.

Buckingham Palace is the official residence of British kings, now is the place of residence of Elizabeth II, is also a place for state ceremonies, and where are also conducted tours

Inside the palace we find the Music Rooms, where several royal babies have been christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury, and several galleries displaying important works of art by artists including Rembrandt and Rubens.

The palace of London noted for its beautiful gardens became a royal residence. The estate was one of the maxims, and decoration in every corner was truly outstanding.

Changing of the guard

History

The changing of the guards realized from the year 1660 and happens every day in the front of Buckingham's Palace.

This event is one of the most famous sights of London and its original name was the police officers and his horses

The members of the guard who are in the band, touch a varied music that includes both military bands and sonorous bands of movies or very known songs

St James.

St James.**•Is an area of 23 hectares in the area of Westminster, central London.

•It’s the oldest of the Royal Parks of the city, is located at the southern end of the St. James's, which was named in honor of a lepers hospital dedicated to St. James.

St James.•The park has a small lake, St. James's Park Lake, with two islands,Duck Island, and West Island. A bridge across the lake offers a magnificent vision to the west of Buckingham Palace framed,by treesand fountains, and a great vision of the main building and Foreignand Commonwealth Office, to the east.

Three royal palaces skirt St James's Park. The most ancient palace is Westminster, now known as the Houses of Parliament. St James's Palace with its Tudor style still holds the title of the Court of St James despite the fact that the Monarch has lived in the third palace, Buckingham Palace since 1837.

Opening hours:The park is open from 5am to midnight all year round. 

St James's Park is the oldest Royal Park in London and is surrounded by three palaces. The most ancient is Westminster, which has now become the Houses of Parliament, St James's Palace and of course, the best known, Buckingham Palace.
