Day 2 Your day begins with a country breakfast at the Apple Farm Inn before embarking on a fun filled day on the central California coast. We’ll take in a guided city tour of San Luis Obispo, and experience some local flavor and history when we visit the quaint seaside artisan town of Cambria. The pine covered hills

and rugged shoreline of Cambria are a magnet for artists, boasting dozens of galleries and specialty boutiques. You'll have free time to stroll through the galleries and enjoy lunch on your own before we continue on to Moonstone Beach. Here you'll have an opportunity to collect beautiful shells, California Jade, beach glass, and milky-white Moonstones to take home. Next, we'll stop by the Hearst Castle Visitor Center to shop for souvenirs before motoring to the Cavalier Oceanfront Resort in San Simeon where we’ll check in for a one-night stay. Following an early dinner at the hotel’s oceanview restaurant, we travel a short distance to Hearst Castle where you'll experience the magnificence of a fully decorated castle as it might have been for the holidays in the 1920s and ‘30s. You'll embark on a special expanded holiday tour* and experience the castle just as one of Hearst's guests might have. Two 18-foot Christmas trees fill the Assembly room as docents and actors in period attire add life to the magnificent surroundings and take you back to the Castle's heyday. [B, D]

Day 3 This morning we make our way southbound to the Danish village of Solvang. Founded by a small group of Danish settlers in 1911, Solvang today is known as the Danish Capital of America and blends charming Old World architectural styles with flower-lined streets to create a delightfully walkable village. Millions of decorations and twinkling Christmas lights adorn the village as the aroma of chocolate, baked goods and coffee fill the quaint streets. We’ll enjoy a tasty included lunch at Pea Soup Andersen’s before continuing on to San Diego with new aquaintances and colorful memories of Christmas at

Telephone reservations must be followed by a $100 per person deposit within 5 days. Trip Cancellation Protection: An optional Cancellation Protection Plan (CPP) is available at a cost of $65-$80 per person. CPP allows you to cancel your reservation for any reason up until two hours before your scheduled departure time and receive a full refund (less the CPP fee), provided you notify DayTripper Tours by telephone of your change of plans. CPP does not pay for the single supplement of the remaining traveler when a traveling companion cancels from a double occupancy reservation. Cancellations And Refunds: For reservations not covered by the optional Cancellation Protection Plan , you must cancel your reservation by October 12, 2017 to receive a refund, transfer or credit. A $100 processing fee will be assessed. Unused portions of the tour are non-refundable. If DayTripper Tours cancels the tour you are entitled to a full refund without penalty.
