daylight driver index™ (ddi) slidedeck
DESCRIPTION
Vigillo’s proprietary Daylight Driver Index™ (DDI) provides a single number (0-100) that describes an individual driver’s FMCSA record using CSA data – similar to how a credit score is a single number that describes a person’s creditworthiness. In a world of limited time and resources, DDI allows carriers to appropriately prioritize drivers for review, based on the key factors defined by the FMCSA. The higher the DDI, the higher the review priority.TRANSCRIPT

What is Daylight Driver Index™?
Vigillo’s proprietary Daylight Driver Index™ (DDI) provides a single number (0-100) that describes an individual driver’s FMCSA record using CSA data – similar to how a credit score is a single number that describes a person’s creditworthiness.
In a world of limited time and resources, DDI allows carriers to appropriately prioritize drivers for review, based on the key factors defined by the FMCSA. The higher the DDI, the higher the review priority.

How DDI Works – Purpose & Principles
PURPOSE: Daylight Driver Index™ is a single number based on information collected
during on-road safety inspections and state-reported CMV crash records that assists in
prioritizing Commercial Motor Vehicle drivers for further monitoring under CSA.
DDI is a single overview of a driver’s safety record as viewed by the FMCSA under CSA.
DDI result is easily interpreted and understood.
DDI relies primarily on published FMCSA methodologies.
Where no FMCSA guidelines exist, DDI uses defensible FMCSA reasoning and practical
industry knowledge.
DDI evolves with changing FMCSA and CSA rules.
