Dedication Dedicating these scrap book to one person would be

unfair to everyone that help me reach goals that I couldn’t do on my own. I feel this way because moms made me but she help when it came to raise me. For example, moms showed me how to be man but the place that raise me show me what it takes to survive.

Growing up I’ve given my mother hell but it feels good to know that she still look at me as if I’m still her little baby even though, I’m older now. She the reason I’m still in school because I would have been drop out like my brother and capitulated to sell drugs. I had to choose a different road to make my mom proud cause that’s what keep me going.

Page 3: Dayshane wright

Dedication My city tough me a lot of things such as,

how to separate real from fake and you can’t trust everyone. I had to learn a lot of things the hard way but, I think that’s the best way. You can’t trust people just because you been knowing them since elementary. Time doesn’t make people trustworthy it’s the loyalty they show you.

So I would to dedicate this to my mom and my city.

Page 4: Dayshane wright

I Believe The only things I believe in are God, loyalty, and respect. I

feel as though you should always put God first, loyalty is something you should look for when you choosing friends, and respect is an obligation.

God is always first no matter what in my life because without him I would’ve been dead. I been praying every day since God started taken everyone away from me just to make sure I wasn’t next. I’m starting to believe that the prayers I’m sending every night are working because all the things I’ve done in my life time I should been dead or in jail. I just hope God let me make my mom proud before I die and let me have a child and watch him/her grow up because I know too many people that got killed before they could see they seed grow.

Page 5: Dayshane wright

I Believe You can’t be loyal to everyone because some

people may take advantage of you. In this day in time it’s hard to know who are really loyal and who just playing that role just to get to you. Loyalty can get you very far in life and it can also put an end to your life from trusting the wrong people. You can’t be loyal to a person with no trust. When you have loyal people behind you a lot things in life should become much easier because you would people that are willing to help you out.

Page 6: Dayshane wright

I Believe Respect is something not many people have any more.

People are even disrespecting themselves just for some attention and wonder why people don’t respect them. I guess that’s something not many care about anymore but that’s something I’ll die for. For example, a prostitute asking people to treat her like a good girl. I would personally respect you if you play your role and don’t change up for no one. I believe respect is something earn. It’s not something that’s just handed out.

If you don’t believe in these three things what do believe in.

Chapter 1 My mom had one of the biggest influences on me. She showed me

how to be a man. She showed me My dad showed me that people will not always come through for you.

He taught me a lot. For example, close mouths don’t get feed. My brother Ju influence is something I would never forget. He taught

me life is too short. So you should live life while you got the chance because life isn’t forever.

My brother Wa influence is one I practice every day. I was taught if you are not getting money then you doing something wrong.

My brother Tuke influence me to never give up. He spent a long time in jail. He came home trying to change his life around.

My cousin Heem had a big influence also. He show me change is possible. He use to of the kids that people had no hope for.

My first grade teacher Mrs. Early was one of my favorite teachers. She told me that people will tried to put you down even family members will even try to knock you. I never understood that until now.

Page 8: Dayshane wright

Chapter 2 My family plays the most influential role

in my life because they raise me. They taught me how to act and how to behave. Growing up I was always around my cousins. We were around each so much we even started thinking alike. For example, when my cousin got in trouble I got in trouble and when they fought I fought.

Chapter 5 Life is shorter than you think. 10 Chocolate isn’t always good as it

look. 12 Don’t judge a book by its cover.

9 What goes around comes

around. 7 High school happens in a blink

of an eye. 15 A man, who fails to plan, plans

to fail. 16 Smiles are the make up for

tears. 18 Change is necessary. 13 No struggle, no success. 16 To live doesn’t mean you’re

alive.15

A man who fails to plan, is a man who plans to fail. This quote is something I would take to my grave because this is something my dad been telling me since I’ve got in high school. Even though I don’t like planning because it seems like every time I plan something it doesn’t work out my way. I’ve learn it’s better to have something plan because without how can you be successful at anything.

Chapter 6 New Orleans is one the best-worst place I

have ever been. This city has given me things I wouldn’t get from anywhere else. It has also taken so much from me. For example, it taught me loyalty and respect but taken so many people that I grew up with. New Orleans is a city you make out not in.

Page 11: Dayshane wright

Chapter 7 Success is something that isn’t measured

by your bank account but measure by the people you change or affected for the better.

Page 12: Dayshane wright

Chapter 11A step towards greatness,  A step towards failure.A step we all have been waiting to makeBut it’s sad to say that’s a step we all want  makeDue to the harsh realities some will faceBut some will just give up cause we all aren’t readySome would just sit back crack jokes and reminisceThose be the one with the talent but too scared to take the riskBut some will take that step beyond graduationA step to be a doctor, lawyer, engineer, firemenBut it’s a step we gotta take no matter outcomeWhether its failure or success just know failure bring successWhether you trip or fall just get back up and take that step

Page 13: Dayshane wright

Chapter 12 If I had one day that I could just go back in time I would go

back to November 04, 2007. The reason I choose this day is because this is the day before my brother got killed. We would just chill and talk about life. I would tell him some things I never got the chance to. I would get the family together so we one those movie moments where every happy and it feels like nothing could ruin that moment. Let him get a chance to see his daughter and spend time with her that he never got the chance to. Then bail my other brother out of jail so they could have a chance to make up for lost time. We would talk about how everything change after he died, how the family wasn’t the same, and how everybody was heartbroken after they got the news.

Page 14: Dayshane wright

Chapter 12 When I got the news it was just unbelievable to me

it really didn’t hit until I saw you laying there in that casket. I wish I could have this day back to prevent that tragedy. Then what’s really crazy about the situation you was just eighteen with a baby girl. Now just because someone felt as though they were God by taking your life my niece have to grow up with a father. Reminiscing about the time we had I really wish I could have that day back. I wish I could go back stop that from happening because it’s too many people that did have the chance to cherish the time with you including me.

Chapter 13Dear Friend,

I am thankful for the times we had. Not many people I’ve met always was truthful like you was. When I needed something you always came through no matter what it was. I never dependent on people but I know at the end of the day I was able to depend on you.

Page 16: Dayshane wright

Chapter 14Dear Ruth,

Every class I had with you was always one of the smartest students in that class. You also were one of the quietest classes’ students in the class. If I didn’t need the answers I would’ve never notice you came to school. You always did you work even if we had a sub in the class. I will always remember you Ruth.

Page 17: Dayshane wright

Chapter 15Dear Mr. Hatt,

Mr. Hatt unlike any other teacher you really taught me. While any other class I really taught so thank you.

Page 18: Dayshane wright

Chapter 15Dear Mrs. Lee,

Mrs. Lee I don’t think that Karr will ever have another person like you on their staff. In my four years at Karr you was the only that help me and believe in me. You got me out of trouble so many times. You always made me laugh how you always have a story about something and how you over exaggerate things. I would just like to take this time out to think you.

Page 19: Dayshane wright

Chapter 16I came to Karr for the football team and what’s funny I don’t even play football anymore. I also came to Karr to be different because everybody grew up went to Walker or Landry. I am still here because I feel as though since I spent all this time here I might as finish because I really don’t like Karr anymore. If would have to fail this class then I would switch schools because you don’t senior project for all schools.

Chapter 21Hey! Let's dance in style, let's dance for a whileHeaven can wait, we're only watching the skiesHoping for the best but expecting the worstAre you gonna drop the bomb or not?

Let us die young or let us live foreverWe don't have the power but we never say neverSitting in a sandpit, life is a short tripThe music's for the sad man

Forever young, I wanna be forever youngDo you really want to live forever?Forever and ever

Forever young I wanna be forever youngDo you really want to live forever?Forever, forever

So we live a life like a video when the sun is always outAnd you never get old and the champagne's always coldAnd the music is always good and the pretty girlsJust happen to stop by in the hood

And they hop their pretty ass up on the hood of that pretty ass carWithout a wrinkle in today 'cause there is no tomorrowJust some picture perfect day to last a whole lifetimeAnd it never ends 'cause all we have to do is hit rewind

So let's just stay in the moment, smoke some weed, drink some wineReminisce, talk some shit, forever young is in your mindLeave a mark that can't erase neither space nor timeSo when the director yells cut, I'll be fine, I'm forever young

Forever young, I wanna be forever youngDo you really want to live forever?Forever and ever

Forever young I wanna be forever youngDo you really want to live forever?Forever, forever
