A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Last month as I was

writing the president’s

message we were

getting ready for one

of the biggest snow-

storms to hit our area. Today we

were in the mid 60’s. Hopefully

spring is here to stay but we all

know how March can be around

here.

Our year is off to a great start.

The first monthly meeting was on

February 4th at Country Casual

Teak. Our hosts and sponsors

Bobbie and Dana Goldstein gave

us an excellent tour of their

facility, which is as clean as their

showroom. We were then treated

to a first class dinner. With over

60 members and guests, we truly

showed our special guests,

Executive Director – Tom Shaner,

National President – John Doiron,

and Associate Executive Director

– Stephanie Dodd, what the DC

Branch is all about. I know they

were impressed by the meeting.

Our first quarter board meeting

was postponed due to the snow

and was recently held February

23rd

at the Chevy Chase Club.

The budget for 2016 was gone

over and approved by all in

attendance. Remember that the

board meetings are open to all

members of the branch.

Additional branch information was

that there were three scholarship

applicants this year.

Our March meeting is going to be

the 2nd

Thursday, March 10th due

to a home basketball game on the

3rd

. Our Host will be Ken Ingram

and the University of Maryland.

Our guest speaker will be Paula
