near H St. might be available to us next Thursday afternoon for a video project. When I called

the Sherwood Recreation Center, they recommended I email you.

Before the streetcar launches, we’re going to release a “how to ride” video that includes a

humorous montage of our main character “training” to ride the DC Streetcar. If possible, we’d

love to visit a local open gymnasium (Sherwood Recreation Center would be ideal for its

proximity to the corridor) next Thursday afternoon from about 1pm to 4pm, just to film some

scenes where he’ll do things like run laps, do pushups, etc.

I do realize this is short notice, but I thought I would at least ask. Please let me know if there is

any chance we might be able to film there.

The DDOT ADA contact is Brett Rouillier: [email protected]. Ralph and I had a meeting with him and

reps from the US Access Board in 2013 – one of whom was a wheelchair user. Simpler idea: what about

renting a wheelchair and having someone from our team use it? That’s one less waiver.

Also, Malia’s idea for the closing sentiment was “Knowing How To Ride Gets You Places.” (or similar)
