During our short presentation, you will be highlighting any important details and you will use the 2 post its to paraphrase those ideas. COLD CALL: What does it mean to paraphrase? What are we doing while we are going through our presentation? During the review, we are at a level 0, highlighting and paraphrasing on our post its. Let’s begin.” -Teacher will go through adverbs. -Teacher will circulate and narrate student work! -Students are listening/writing at a level 0 and teacher will wait for a level 0. While we are going through this presentation, you will be completing your guided notes. During this presentation we will be at our desks, completing our notes, at a level 0. Let’s begin.”-Teacher will go through mini-lesson while circulating and narrating student work.-Teacher will countdown before slides.-Teacher will cold call for students to read from the slides.

When I say go, you will have 10 seconds to get with your partner and begin working. You will have 4 minutes to complete the section. What section are you and your partner completing? Greek Hero Bingo“Since we are going to be reading about Greek God, it’s important to know who is who, right? Well we are about to present to you the most important Greek Gods and Goddesses. While we are going through this presentation, you will be completing your BINGO card. During this presentation we will be at our desks, completing our notes, at a level 0. Let’s begin.”

As teacher goes over a power point with variousGreek gods and goddesses, students will fill out BINGO cards as a way of taking notes. Candy will be distributed to BINGO winners.-Teacher will circulate while narrating student work. -Teacher will countdown before switching slides.

Students are working at a level 1. If students are reluctant to work with a partner, the teacher will explain that this is part of their grade and they need to participate.
